Yeah, so I trashed Trump quite a bit in that other thread. So in the spirit of fairness, now let's take a look at some Canadian politics.
This might be the most awkward video on the internet. ON. THE. INTERNET. Think about that.

Yeah, and around the world people view Americans as dumb, fat, and dumb. Did I mention dumb? And rich I highly doubt they think we're rich. That's just Mrs. Bauer's foster mom that thinks that. Especially since we have a large population of people under the poverty line and we're trillions of dollars in debt.

I'm very curious to learn from our American friends here any other things they might have heard in their lifetime...
- something about Canada that might be bizarre - a Canadian stereotype - something about why you or other people hate us
etc. we don't really get a chance over that except for hearing American comedians saying weird shit. Just curious.

Just curious. I haven't heard much about Canada being bizarre, and I don't hate Canada or Canadians. A stereotype is that everyone there is a bunch of tree huggers that say aye at the end of their sentences. From what I've heard from other people. They dislike Canada because they think Canada is a bunch of pussies.

Other things about Canada: - Not everyone here loves hockey, but a VERY high percentage of our population does. - No igloos. Like...maybe if you go into Nunavut or something. I do not know, I have never been there. Oh, but sometimes kids do build igloos for fun here in winter - that does happen. - Our coffee is better than American coffee. - Our cell (and I think internet) services/options/prices are NOT better. - I hear our beer is better, but I had this beer root beer when I was in Florida and i really liked it. My friends tell me we have a different brand here that is just as good, but still. That was good. - we have gun control, but it's not unreasonably restrictive. I could go buy a gun if I wanted. - We do not have the death penalty. Anywhere in Canada.
Oh, and this is a big one. Politically, at least. We do not vote for our Prime Minister. Like, AT ALL. We vote for a representative for our area. Those representatives can belong to any party, or can be independants. BUT. At the end of the voting, the PARTY with the most representatives in our House of Commons, is the majority party, and whoever their leader is becomes our Prime Minister. We do not directly vote for our Prime Minister, and because of the process, we can never have an independent Prime Minister. It's pretty fucked up when you think about it. You want to be Prime Minister? Go be the leader of a major political party. Seems so wrong.
