I feel like the judges get criticized a lot, probably because they score fights very odd. For example, I thought Stephen Thompson won against Woodley yesterday. Anybody agree?

Yeah, that's kinda the problem with the scoring, particularly the old-system (which they were using on this card). I feel like Thompson won 3 rounds, but I feel like, all things considered, Woodley won the fight. I mean, it's a fight, so the person who "beats the other guy up" the most should win. Thompson didn't beat anyone up at any point in time, whereas Woodley did twice.

I'm just happy it's likely not going to be a trilogy BUT I also think that there are other more talented individuals in the WW division, and that moving on from this can finally get that belt switching waists like it should be,

Thompson is very exciting. Just not against Woodley.

Finishes: Diaz: 1, Conor: 0.

The reason he went for the shitty takedown attempt in fight 1 is because he was rocked and in trouble. Diaz cuts and bleeds easily. Don't mistake that for damage. Lots of veterans have built up scar tissue, which makes cuts happen much, much easier. Diaz will likely bleed in every fight he has for the rest of his career. That has nothing to do with who is beating up whom.

That is the most asinine argument I have heard since someone argued that verbally submitting was not a real submission. Diaz tapped Conor. Until Conor finishes Diaz, Diaz is still one up on him.
