Roster freeze now in effect. Hasn't it been a roster freeze since the Dozers auction? We never even had a chance to do anything with our rosters after that if we wanted to. |

We never even had a chance to do anything with our rosters after that if we wanted to. 1) The post-Dozers freeze was not a roster freeze, it was a free agent freeze. It was put in place to stop people from getting access to decent fighters that were used in an auction on a shitty first come, first serve basis. The delay lets people see who is there, and hope and plan accordingly. 2) I re-opened them randomly. The re-open date and time was posted publicly in the Shoutbox on Jan 27, 2018 at 8:06pm. It was also when ManMMA 395 Fight announcements were posted. It appears to have been there until around February 1, when a Norm drunk rant, then weird Samantha shit, pushed it out of the Shoutbox display page (but not out of the admin area, which is why I have the time stamp of the post). During which time, though, there were 4 public days of free agent claiming available to anyone and everyone. 3) Austin updated the Currently Capped fighter page to include Free agents, in an attempt to get people interested about free agents, since few seemed to care. 4) Talked with several people about free agents, they decided to pass for now. 5) After delaying the posting of ManMMA 397 (roster freeze card) for a few days after being informed of trade talks (and being kinda surprised no one had taken any free agents), I took one myself (on Feb. 6, nearly 2 weeks after lifting the freeze), then started working on the card. 6) This post. So. Since I don't care about this, and since it was posted in the Shoutbox, I'll push the freeze back to after this card is simmed. So final warning everyone. If you are doing a trade, or if you want free agents, do it now. NOW, CHIEF, NOW!!! |

And I did ask you pointedly a while back to let me know when the FAs would be available to take cuz I wanted 1 or 2, but you never told me. lol 1) I cannot help how people view the site. I wish mobile people did not have problems, but I cannot do anything about that. I make the site on a PC, and I do not know anything about, nor provide, mobile support. There are pros and cons to mobile devices. Half of the plug-ins I spend time creating for this site do not work on mobile, and the shoutbox doesn't. But the trade-off is restrictions I place on certain areas of the site do not apply to mobile users. They are a "use at own risk" thing, unfortunately. ANy issues, take up with Proboards, because mobile functionality is beyond my control. 2) I am not PMing people every time anything happens, as I barely have the time to do all the things I need and want to do for the site as-is. 3) In the future I will try to post things on-site, and I believe, aside from asking people to participate in a poll, I leave pretty much everything off of the Shoutbox, despite it saving me many many minutes of time and effort. If I could just make all announcements in the Shoutbox, I definitely would. ANd would have more time for other things, like plug-ins. 4a) You did not pointedly ask me to let you know. If you did, I would have replied with "I don't give you special treatment, as per your request," as I have been saying to you for a couple years now. It's how we avoid unpleasant situations like tihs one, and it works out best for both of us. 4b) At any given time, at least 4 people on this site are "asking me pointedly" to do something, or about something, etc. I cannot be expected to follow everyone around and hold their hands, or let them know little bitty things here and there about all sorts of minute details of the site. Rattlesnakes can be easily delegated to pass off a mass PM or a simple a tagged thread notifying folks of things happening. Just ask him. 3) Well, shoutout box doesn't quite cut it man. See response #2. 4a) I sure as hell did ask for you to let me know, and you didn't say "I don't give you special treatment, as per your request". And it's not special treatment when you should be notifying everyone of these things, and not just in the shoutout box. 4b) No, and no expects you to, however, when things affect every team on the site, everyone should be notified somehow. Again, see response #2. 5) I did already, but there was absolutely no reason for you to be a jerk about this or for this to be any sort of confrontation either. I'm trying to give you information here because obviously what you have been doing with the shoutout box isn't working effectively since there were no trades really, and no FAs taken other than you. I understand you can't do everything, but at the same time, folks need to be aware of what's happening too. That's just fair and decent. |

I undid the roster freeze (for the first time ever, I believe) at your request, allowing you to get your free agents. No additional replies on your part were needed. Though a thank you might have been welcome. The action of you lifting the freeze wasn't the part you were being a jerk about; your reaction and responses were. I also did thank you for it. My phone's a year old now and has been been dropped in water at least once. lol Not to mention that I initially took Kampmann back as one of my FA purchases (Not Tanner) but he doesn't want to book Kampmnn cuz he's "nobody", apparently; even though he's got the best record of all the MW FAs currently available. So yah... I can easily, and have no problem saying I don't want the inconvenience, cuz neither does he. |
