Chris Weidman:There has been a lot of talk about Anderson Silva saying he wants a rematch against me. The guy can barely sleep at night knowing I took that belt off him. That same belt that I'm going after this season. A fight with Silva would slow my chances of making it into another tournament. So if he really wants a rematch, then Silva or his team, The Sandmen, should make it worth my while. Explain to me why Silva deserves a rematch?

You make valid points. We are no longer interested in you. As you have said, you are a former champion. The division has moved past you. You weren't even a blip on the division history's radar. Anderson has owned many divisions, won more titles than you have had fights, and no longer has an interest in letting you share his spotlight.

Megan Olivi:Hello, I'm Megan Olivi, and I'm here with coach of xx - The King's Poison, Lucas Carpenter. Luke, there has been a lot of talk about one of your top guys, Chris Weidman facing off with Anderson Silva in a rematch, after Weidman defeated Silva for the middleweight championship. Unfortunately, it's looking like neither Weidman or Silva have any interest in that fight. Same goes for Silva's coach, at The Sandmen. What are your thoughts on this situation? Me:Ya know, in this game you're always going to root for your guys, the people that train with you. But I have to be honest, when ManMMA contacted us saying they needed someone to fill in for the Title Fight against Silva, I was a bit hesitant to say anything to Chris, but he's very confident in his abilities, and he's come a long way. He took the fight, and he won. He surprised us all and definitely shocked Silva. When the rematch idea was being thrown around we were a bit nervous. I'm not sure we would have wanted Chris to take that fight so eagerly, and it turns out Silva doesn't have any interest in the fight. We're not sure if that's because he's on his way out of the fight game, if he has a different agenda, or if he's worried of getting two losses to Chris, but we're going to move on. If their paths cross again, we'll be ready, but until then, I'm going to advise Chris to just take the fights offered until he gets another shot at the title. Olivi:Thank you so much for talking, and good luck to you and your fighters on the upcoming card. Me:Thank you.
