Corey Eaves: GSP or Henderson should be Grand Prix MVP.
Sandmen: Which one was best?
Corey: Both won all their fights
Sandmen: So neither was more valuable than the other?
Corey: Correct
Sandmen: Well since the only person on The Sandmen who was consistant and won all his fights was Anderson, he is more valuable to his team than GSP/Henderson were to yours. If either one of them lost a fight, the other also went 3-0. Do you see how that works? MVP is typically most valuable TO THEIR TEAM. See?
Corey: *has fit due to common sense kicking his ass*

Both Henderson and GSP were "valuable" the same amount of valuability as Anderson
Had either one of them lost a fight, I would be out of the tournament, just like Anderson.
THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ANDERSON AND HENDERSON/GSP IS THAT HENDERSON AND GSP WON THE TOURNY
Thus, it should be whoever had the better fights, or co-mvp

Thus, it should be whoever had the better fights, or co-mvp Ok. Cool. By this logic, Anderson beat: Gabriel Gonzaga (rookie of the year nominee last year), Rampage Jackson (former Champ) and Lyoto Machida (former champ). All of these wins in his 2nd, 3rd, and 4th fights at HW. GSP beat Dan Hardy, Cung Le, and Jon Fitch. Benson beat Aoki, Faber, and Kenny Florian. (no one on this list is anything). Anderson also has 2 fight night bonuses. GSP has one. Benson has one. If you want, you can either say it should be based on toughness of opponents (GSP and Anderson are tied) or Fight night bonuses (Anderson wins). But the only guy on both of those lists is Anderson. And I am not 3-way co-MVPing. That would be dumb. The only input provided by anyone other than myself was 2 people also agreeing it should be Anderson. And for the record, my personal vote would have been Cung Le, since he beat 2 guys he should not have beaten, but that opinion was not shared by anyone since he had a loss.

Sorry Grapplemuch, Sandman is actually making sense to me. Plus, we all had our say (or could've) in that other thread, although to be honest, I can't remember what if anything I said.
Also... and this might not be right, but who the fuck cares who an MVP of a tournament is? Was there a bonus involved that I missing?

This has been resolved for the most part behind closed doors. It was never about WHO won MVP, it was HOW it was done that irked me.

I have no idea why you people chat 'behind closed doors' at all. there's little to no objectivity and you're wasting potential post counts.
