Congrats bullies... You earned your win.
Unfortunately I am very annoyed and disappointed that my team imploded.
I would love to face bullies in a gp team vs gp team battle... Dunno if sandmen would sim it but it would make me feel better

wow 16/18 predictor thats nuts Yes, especially since GP is HARD to predict, since the last 6 picks are blind.

I thought it was only +2 for gp win We changed it last season when we made the first (and at the time, second) overall picks worth 2 points. I wanted GP to be worth more than the 1st overall pick in the draft.

That shouldn't be... People should have a chance to catch up. ... So I suggest giving more to people who don't get in gp

While I agree with you in THEORY, the result of that is people like Cannon will tank the whole season (sending his best fighters to Traning Camp and shit) for free points by not making the GP (he really will, and has done shit like that before).
Since the GP has no inherent relevance other than what is applied to it, giving points as a reward keeps the incentive to win higher than the incentive to tank or even just have an average season.

Well find some other way to make teams who don't make gp better

Besides if you consistently tank then eventually you will get better. Then you can't tank

Well find some other way to make teams who don't make gp better They get first pick in the draft (which mattered in this draft a lot) AND the pick is worth more points if they choose to go that route. Feel free to come up with something better - I don't really have a problem with it as is, but if something better is out there, I'm all ears. What we have now is in no way something I am attached to like other things we have in place here. Besides if you consistently tank then eventually you will get better. Then you can't tank So I should put up with point-of-the-site defeating cheating for 6-7 seasons so a team can get free points just to be an arse? lol, this is fine until you suggest something better. I am sure something is out there, but my brain power is busy for the next week or so with season-ending maintenance, family birthday parties, my anniversary, children's birthday parties, and March break.

WOOOOOO! Grand Prix champs! Also, I nearly aced that predictor. I nearly picked Couture over Silva, and I debated the Jones Velasquez fight for a bit.

The first overall pick wasn't THAT important... I had it; I got Barnett with it... a guy that basically took a season off and returned to my team... not that huge of a deal really. Yes, it's worth one more point and you don't have to swap a fighter for it, but really, that's the only advantages to it... and that, in and of itself, isn't that much of an advantage when you consider adding a fighter, depending on the season they have, could actually bring your team down, not up... and 2 points isn't really a significant number to make any meaningful impact to your team. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm fine with the way it is, but I think it could be significantly better and more of an advantage for the team that finishes last to be able to obtain a more significant amount of points for the first overall pick (ie. 4-5 points), that way the pick itself holds more value and if that team elects to trade that pick, they might actuallly be able to obtain a more significant piece from someone with it or be more able to improve a fighter or 2 on thier current roster.
As for the tanking, you might get that... but there's a chance of that happening in any league. Plus with the advent of the point cap set at 15 points that teams can cache, we're forced to use our points to an extent whether it's to upgrade fighter or to trade, so I don't see tanking as being much of an issue anymore unless a team goes out and gets all 81 cap fighters, and I don't see that happening, even with Cannon.
