Lightweight Championship Bout Conor McGregor def. Eddie Alvarez via KO at 3:04, Round 2
Welterweight Championship Bout Tyron Woodley Draws Stephen Thompson via Majority Decision (47-47, 47-47, 48-47) That one confused me!
Women's Strawweight Championship Bout Joanna Jedrzejczyk def. Karolina Kowalkiewicz via Unanimous Decision (49-46, 49-46, 49-46)
Middleweight Bout Yoel Romero def. Chris Weidman via TKO at 0:24, Round 3
Women's Bantamweight Bout Raquel Pennington def. Miesha Tate via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27)
Featherweight Bout Frankie Edgar def. Jeremy Stephens via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) This one made me laugh, because Jeremy Stephens was talking so much shit to Conor McGregor
Lightweight Bout Khabib Nurmagomedov def. Michael Johnson via Submission (Kimura) at 2:31, Round 3
Middleweight Bout Tim Boetsch def. Rafael Natal via TKO at 3:22, Round 1
Welterweight Bout Vicente Luque def. Belal Muhammad via KO at 1:19, Round 1
Catchweight Bout Jim Miller def. Thiago Alves via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 30-27)
Women's Bantamweight Bout Liz Carmouche def. Katlyn Chookagian via Split Decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28)
So, what results were the most shocking on the card? Biggest upset? Biggest Disappointment? Lets talk about it!

My favorite part was when Chris Weidman lost half his head. That was funny, I thought he was going to win going into the fight, but he became predictable. I'd have to say the fight of the night was Joanna and Karolina or Woodley vs Thompson. Both were good fights. My favorite fight was the McGregor fight though, because I love Conor and I thought it was hilarious that Alvarez talked so much shit only to get destroyed by Conor.

Alvarez did not start talking shit; he did nothing, got shit talked at, did little, got more shit talked at, then finally got fed up and started returning fire. He's an old school fighter, not a fight salesman. He probably also got told (or realized) if he says more shit, he will make a lot more money (Main event gets a huge cut of PPV sales). It's all part of the business side. That's the unfortunate thing with Conor McGregor - he is making trash-talking pretty much a requirement of the sport. I mean, shit, it's literally HOW he got his title shot(s). Did Conor beat any top 4 guys on his way to his title fight? Nah, he beat Dustin Poirier, then was given a title shot. Dustin....Poirier............. ------ I was most surprised by Romero's flying knee on Weidman. Ever since the Weidman-Anderson 2 fight, I have disliked Weidman. I was a little happy to see him get his karmic return, espeically in Madison Square. I can be at peace with Weidman now, and he can have a clean slate in my brain. Play nice now, Chris. Maybe I will like you in the future

Conor tells everyone he is better than them, that he is going to destroy you, that (and he said this), your wife and children will not recognize you afterwards. Do you just sit there and listen to that for 3 months? Family crosses the line. And it's funny because the MMA media shapes a storyline SOOO MUCH. Anyone remember the whole "Bethe Corria/Ronda Rousey/suicide" thing? Bethe became a villain, even in her own country, for simply replying to Ronda. (Ronda had said many times she would die before losing her title, Bethe said she was going to beat her and hopes ROnda would not kill herself). Ronda=Good guy, therefore Bethe is a terrible human being because Ronda's father happened to kill himself and family is off limits. Conor says something like that...its just funny trash talk, Conor is God.
In a nutshell, the double, triple, and quadruple standards in the UFC are among several reasons the company drives me insane.

Well, the trash Eddie was talking wasn't as bad, but Conor doesn't mean what he says most of the time, does he? I thought it was funny that Conor said "Eddie had no business being in here with me tonight"
