Father of 6 with another one on the way...And guns are good? You guys are ridiculous. First of all, "you guys" is kind of a dick move thing to say since not every American feels that way. Second of all, from my family experience, guns have done a lot more good than bad, but I know that's not the story for everyone.

Guns are for people who live in absolute fear and need a safety blanket. If you find that in guns, cool. More power to you. But statistically, they don't make you any safer. The opposite in fact.
Personally...I don't have a gun because I don't feel the need to live my life in constant state of child-like fear. My mind is still blown from listening to NRA people talk about their need for guns. I always thought it was this macho, tough-guy thing. Turns out, they are literally, legitimately afraid all the fucking time, and need guns to feel SAFE. That is a sad, sad state of affairs, and probably not a society I could live in.

I saw a story a few weeks ago about how an intruder entered someone's house and was seen by this guys daughter, he pulled a gun on her and started shouting, then the mom ran downstairs and shot the intruder with her husbands gun. Saving three lives probably.

Saving three lives probably. In Canada we don't have random men walking into people's homes with a gun everyday.

It's asinine to think a country is perfect from crime.

Nowhere did I say perfect, I was stating that gun crime in Canada doesn't happen often unlike in the States.

That's true and unfortunate, but a civil war will happen in this country before people give up all their guns.

Canada is lucky they're leader isn't a fucking dorito. We are also lucky that we know the difference between there, their, and they're.

Canada is lucky they're leader isn't a fucking dorito. We are also lucky that we know the difference between there, their, and they're. I know the difference. I meant to say They're lucky their leader isn't a dorito, then I was in a conversation with my brother arguing about using his charger. So I was side tracted.
