This was not "for a domestic". It was 29 FELONY offences, including kidnapping, and sexual assault with a weapon. The full list is here:  He also has 2 other misdemeanours on his record (both for assault & battery charges), and an additional felony (also for assault). Other details: She suffered a broken nose, missing teeth, fractured eye socket, leg injuries and a lacerated liver. Koppenhaver cut some of her wigs before inserting a knife in her ear and threatening to kill her, and she also says he groped, raped her and kicked her in the ribs. She and her friend were both strangled and beaten. Mackinday said she was knocked unconscious and woke up on the floor of her bathroom. She said she then ran from her house to a neighbours' home after hearing Koppenhaver rummaging through drawers in her kitchen for another knife after his first knife broke. The level of criminal maliciousness is brutal and life was beyond justified (pretty sure kidnapping alone can get you life in prison). |
