The Rocketmen, xx - The Broad Street Bullies, and 1 more like this

While I would appreciate if you read this whole thing, but if you only read 1 paragraph, read the last one. Thank you.
So...since many people here seem to forget this, I'm going to recap some things:
1) I'm a human individual, who happens to volunteer his time to provide entertainment on a free entertainment website.
2) I do not make a dime off of this site, but I do spend anywhere from 1 to 4 hours a day doing things for this site, from simming to building cards, to making banners, to ensuring boards work and look correct, etc.
3) I do this when I could be spending that time with my friends or family.
4) I was not elected by you to do this job. I am not paid by you to do this job.
I am NOT a company, making money off of you.
I am NOT a publicly-funded park, facility, website, etc.
I am an individual, who has donated his time to provide you guys with entertainment.
So here's my question. At what point did many of you decide all of this was grounds for abuse? I mean, I know some of you, and I don't see you going into Wal-Mart, asking to talk to a manager, then calling him a Nazi because of a store's return policy, or telling the creators of Call of Duty that their views on gun damage are biased, corrupt, and bullshit, and that they, too, are Nazi's.
ManMMA is a GAME. Not unlike a video game. So why do you guys feel you are entitled to trash me, personally and professionally, for the product that I make no money providing for you? WHat makes you feel like just because I volunteer my time to run a site for you, that you are entitled to act like a group of children who didn't get their way, and have long, epic rants?
And most of all, what makes you think this is a democracy? Do you donate your time building banners, building fighters, researching fights/fighters, customizing programs, creating sigs, developing plans, constructing Excel documents and formulas? Did you elect me to run this site? Or did YOU join MY product, for completely fucking free, with no obligation or requirement that you stay here at all?
I'm trying to figure out what separates visiting this non-profit site from visiting any other free-use establishment, where this mentality of "I am totally entitled to be a piece of shit to Justin" came from.
I have tried to run the site like a democracy, but that is not always an option. But because of that, it has become clear to me that not only do you guys EXPECT to have a democratic voice (based on literally nothing - again, did you elect for me? do you pay me? Or did YOU sign up for MY site?), but you also get incredibly vocal, annoyed, and upset when I have to make administrative decisions around here that have a direct impact on the amount of work I do, that few of you ever volunteer do you yourselves.
xx - Camp Cannon, do you go into Wal Mart, ask how much a game is, then call the store a Nazi because they are unwilling to negotiate the price with you? xx - Team GAP, do you? xx - Former Phoenix Fight Club, do you expect Wal-Mart to accept all of your suggestions, put them into their stores, and not change a single one? Or just blindly accept them? Because "You know as much about stores as they do"?
I do everything I can to make as many people here happy as possible, and over the years The Rocketmen and I have lost many sites trying to make everyone happy. But then one day, I had a conversation with a brilliant young man by the name of jmcook (xx - Former Rebel Storm). And he helped me realize this: here's the sad truth. You don't have you like it, but you do have to accept it as the nature of any volunteer-run website. The main person that needs to be happy on this site is the guy doing all the damned work. If Cannon gets bored and quits, we lose a member. Sucks, but ManMMA carries on. If The Sandmen gets bored and quits, everyone loses a site. When you guys continue to turn discussions into "The Sandmen is biased, The Sandmen is all about making his fighters win, The Sandmen lets his friends...whatever the fuck you are on about.
No one forces you to be here. You are here by choice. At this point, I am not. At this point, I am so fucking sick and tired of how willing people are to point their fingers at me, but how they have literally never offered to lift a finger to help me.
The reality of this site, like absolutely any other store, or entertainment service on the face of the Earth, is that it IS a dictatorship. I DO take your suggestions seriously, and I DO try to make them work. But the reality is, they won't always work. You won't always be happy with how I run things, and to be quite blunt, you don't get a fucking vote. That sucks for you, I understand. But putting 1-4 hours of work into this site to be bitched at and accused of things (for 6 years) sucks significantly worse. Trust me, I have been in both positions.
So what am I hoping to get out of this essay?
1) Hopefully some of you will gain a bit of understanding, and realize that you absolutely ARE acting entitled to things you have absolutely no entitlement to (like my time, or the "right" to have your suggestions put in place without concern for others, or the simmer who they actually affect, for example.)
2) I am hoping that people will ease up on the completely uncalled for trashing of me, as both a person and as a man who has spent literally thousands of hours of his life creating and maintaining this product for you.
3) And lastly, I am posting this as a sort of generalized "fair warning" that I am getting sick of being trashed and disrespected for no reason other than you do not like 4 minutes of the 20 hours a week I put into the site. As such, while I have never banned people from the site for trashing me before, or calling me a piece of shit Nazi or whatever else, my patience for that has run pretty much out, and the bans may very well start coming. Think that is unfair? Walk into Wal-Mart, call the cashier a piece of shit Nazi, and see how long they let you stick around.
