It was great to see Robert Whittaker get excited to see Bisping lose to GSP when they cut to him in the audience, but it looks like Bobby Knuckles legitimately is excited to fight GSP and might even be a fan haha streamable.com/8w4b1

Oh for sure, but seeing him acting so giddy backstage made me laugh. Bowing, probably thanking him for bringing him a barge full of cash for their fight, but also legitimately happy to just have met GSP lol

lol the golden era is over why they need gsp back lol This. Dana White complaining aboutfans wanting cards like this... how is that even considered unreasonable? I just spent 60 bucks for this card. THIS CARD. I do not spend that on cards that have essentially one fake title fight (interim) and a bunch of "hopefully these will be good fights" fights on guys I don't know. When Dana White and the UFC started doing major promotional pushes for Jon Jones, McGregor and Rousey, and now all three are basically gone, who is left? Then GSP returns. This card didn't need him, fortunately, but it drew the eyes and now Rose and probabl even TJ are massive now because of it. Fuck Dana for criticizing the fans because we finally got an amazing fight card since 189. Even 200 sucked. Eat a dick Dana. Fuck you. Promote your god damn fighters and get rid of Reebok you doufus. to be honest i dunno half of the newbies in ufc except the ones that have been drafted to this site

I still know the legends of course, but I didn't get to witness their prime.

Y'all are just mad that JJ and Garbrandt lost. Sure I thought JJ was going to win but i had no doubt TJ was going to destroy that douche Garbrandt. And look what happened! Total domination!

His entire career he has relied on being able to knock his opponent out and he hasnt had skill at all

I don;t necessarily vehemently disagree with it. I mean, I judge fighters based on their competition, not their record. Cody's best win was a decision against Cruz. Outside of that, his top wins were guys who were ranked, but never someone you would consider a legit title contender (Mizugaki, Almeida, Brimage -guys that would not even qualify to be here on ManMMA). Dillashaw is only a bit better, having dominated Barao twice, and beating Lineker and Assunsauo. So for me, these guys are still establishing themselves. This fight established Dillashaw is better than Cody. Now, I would love to see Cruz back in the mix vs. either of them to answer lingering questions I still have about Cruz, Dillashaw, and/or Cody. (And for the record, either fighting DJ would likely answer none of the questions I have about these guys).

Before that he was looking pretty dominant.

It's not like you have seen a dozen Garbrandt fights, evaluated his style and skills, and determined he had the skills to beat TJ. You just like Cody. Like, when old fucks like Mike and I talk about Chris Weidman's wins over Anderson Silva being flukes, its not because we like Anderson. It is because we have seen both guys fight more than twice, are aware of each's skills, and evaluate the fight accordingly. Cody has not fought enough elite talent to really have a basis for "Cody just got caught". Not "getting caught" is a HUGE part of MMA. If you "Just got got", you "just got fucking beat".

I don't know why you'd make that accusation. I've seen 9 of his 12 fights, and one of his amateur fights. So yeah, I have noticed quite a few things about his style and skill, but like you said. Most of his opponents were meh, so the only real test was against Cruz. I noticed he was fast, accurate, had a lot of power, and he was good at avoiding damage. I definitely thought those would be good tools to get the victory over TJ. Although, I haven't seen a dozen of his fights and evaluated him. I've just read up on him.
