Has anyone been watching any Olympics? Does anyone even care now that NHLers are barred from said Olympics?

NHLers being banned sucks, but at the same time it makes sense. Teams don't want to pay their players for them to go and get hurt in the Olympics.

I disagree.

Hockey was slow. Then we all saw Olympic hockey with NHLers, and fans were really excited and wanted changes to the NHL. Those changes came, and it was better for the NHL, the owners, and the teams.

All Olympic hockey does is expose your roster of talent to the world. It can bring new fans, as countries fall in love with hockey heroes, and that, in turn, can bring new fans to the NHL teams themselves.

I think this was just a case of Bettman was displeased that he could not make money off of the Olympics, so they abolished all fun. #Bettman.

I would disagree with this as well.
It makes more sense to stop them from playing in the Olympics because these guys have million dollar contracts that they play for. They aren't paying them to go and get hurt in the Olympics. That's the same issue that's coming up in The World Baseball Classic

Wrestling and running aren't. Those are poor-people sports. Winter Olympics is definitely more expensive to compete in though.

pretty sure olympics wouldnt pay into insurance like other olympics did and then the fames happening at brutal hours limited viewership so they passed. i couldnt care this time around becayse i woukdnt be awake fir games nor would i bother with replays knowing score

Probably depends a lot on your country. If your country will fly you out to the events and everything, then no. You just need to be able to do things like run, or jump. If not, and you have to pay your own Olympic expenses, then yes. Expensive as fuck. I think the countries paid travel though. The US arrived in a boat. Trip took 16 days. You know all this though, because you are on my Facebook (where we had a live play-by-play of the 1912 Summer Olympics, in Stockholm, Sweden!)

i am watching alot of the olympics... but i dont care as much about the hockey since ghe big names arent there... feels like the best in the world is not playing... i feel a bit cheated... so i watch other sports.
