How did Gomi get Fighter of the Year exactly? By going a league-record 11-0, winning a single-night tournament for the championship, and holding onto that belt all season against pretty much every former champion we have ever had such as Chandler, Aoki, Melendez, Guillard, and Cruz. One or more of those reasons, I would assume? |
