hey guys... hope you all had a good canada day.. what did you guys do to celebrate?

Worst. Canada Day. Ever.

1) Woke up to broken internet. ON NHL FREE AGENT SIGNING DAY NO LESS. Anyways, tech support said it was the modem, but I was not convinced.

2) Called Best Buy, they said they had modems. Nearest one was 40 mins away, in my parents hometown. Went to get modem.

3) During trip, a) discovered phone Best Buy lied and they don't carry modems. Nor did anyone else who was open in town. Then b) our car broke down.

4) Stayed at parents. Impromptu. Had nothing (toothbrush, nor change of clothes, etc). Sucked. Parents do have central air and swimming pool though, so wasn't all suck. Also, I did not have a chance to have breakfast, so I got good and drunk on a single 5.5% beer. That was the highlight of my Canada day. But I digress.

5) Could not sleep. Did not sleep. Got 1 hour of sleep. Then up at 7:30 Monday morning to start car hunting.

5) Went to get replacement car on Monday. Guess what. It's fucking Canada Day (observed) all fucking over. So literally nothing was open.

6) Got some used car lot guy to call back, he opened for us, let us test drive a car, basically with no options, we agreed to take that.

7) Borrow parents car. Come home today (Monday, the 2nd), discover power went out, and result is PC will not fucking boot up (old issue, but it took 12 fucking hours for it to resolve itself). In meantime, for no reason, internet started working again.

8) Television decided that the "volume-down" button means "Power off", and the "Power On" button means "Do Fuck All". Annoying.

So basically in 2 days, with varying degrees of severity, my car broke, my internet broke, my TV broke, and my computer broke.

Here's hoping everything's looking better come July 4th. Happy America Day?
