Yeah, I'm back. I had to take a little bit of time away because I travelled a bit to another year to see some kid that needed protecting, and the shithead just kept running away from me. No matter, I caught him on my motorcycle and made him grow to appreciate my visiting. Fucker needs to learn some respect though and be a better host, because damn.
SuperFight Championship
Rashad Evans (44-44) vs. Stipe Miocic (8-9)
Rashad Evans is the champ. Stipe gets his second SuperFight challenge of his career. Rashad Evans has been here since ManMMA 1 where he had a split decision loss to Jon Jones. No kidding. That's a long time. Not as long as it was for me to get back to that shitty kid before a fucking liquid man murdered people through milk containers, but nonetheless, a long time ago. Stipe came in at like ManMMA 61. SIXTY-ONE! What a loser. Evans won the SF title against Condit in what will go down in history as "that card that happened", but he is wearing gold, so who am I to talk. Stipe got his title shot by losing to Rampage Jackson. If Stipe wins, I'd probably challenge immediately if I am Rampage Jackson. But I digress. Perhaps Stipe will say hasta la vista and put away the Evans of Rashad, or he'll listen to the way people talk and say no problemo, before Rashad cuts his arm off and then tells him to chill out, dickwad. Who knows. I should know. I can time travel. Wait, maybe I want to know. I'll be back.
Lightweight Championship
Takanori Gomi (37-23) vs. Dominick Cruz (70-39)
Takanori Gomi (37-23) vs. Dominick Cruz (70-39)
Gomi won the title in that "none of these fighters won anything" tournament, and somehow he's held on to it. 11 title defences. That's crazy. He hasn't lost in his last 19 fights. His last loss was John Connor Dodson at ManMMA 353. Cruz, on the other hand, is riding a motorcycle on a 3 shotgun fight winning streak, beating Aldo, Melendez and Stephens to get a chance at some lightweight gold. I once peeled the skin off my arm. Gomi hasn't had a fight go past the second round in 7 events. I can't wait to see some carnage get thrown around in this fight, but hopefully no one forgets to say please. Like when I helped that kid race away from a psychopath in a tractor trailer. It's all good though, as much as that asshole teen pisses me off, it makes me feel a little bit better to know that his foster parents are dead. Just like the career of the loser of this fight.
Now, someone put the fights on and pass the popcorn, and remember that the future's not set. There's no fate but what we make for ourselves.
