Takanori Gomi defends the Lightweight title!
This was probably the fight I was most interested in, up there with Sylvia-Lesnar.
Cody came out strong, as did Gomi. Gomi did some early chipping away, but Cody did lethal damage fast, and took over the fight with a health ratio of about 85 to 50 (with Cody in the lead). Then Gomi was like..."Bitch, Please. Imma GoaT, mu'fucka!" and went to epic-town, with epic combos to finish the fight, leaving Cody "Throat Tattoos" Garbrandt unintelligently defending himself helplessly flailing about on the mat.
