i been thinkin about sports and I read this article the other day that said back in the day in some sports don't remember which ones the teams that finished higher got to choose their teams in the playoff matchups instead of just putting the 1st vs. the 8th and so on. what if we did that here for more control and for more strategy??? I guess I suggest then that when you send in your grand prix list you also add another list of who you want to match up against in order of preference or something like that??? then the first place team gets their choice, then the second place team and so on?? do you think that would work here?? shake things up a bit??

If people were to definitely include their match-up preference list along with their GP lists, I think this is doable.

I mean, I guess if you don't submit a team-matchup list, your preference is just skipped, then the next team gets their choice? Then go lowest available after the dust settles?

maybe do something where for the first round you pick, and then it's just straight up a bracket.
1 vs whoever they pick
4 vs whoever is left over
2 vs whoever they pick
3 vs whoever they pick
then round 2 is just flat out the pairing of winners for each block above to the finish line.

It's definitely interesting. I'd be game to test it out, but only the 1st round would really work for it I think.
