New FID

[xx - Team GAP]

I am not completely convinced that minuses should count for FID as it makes FID too easy to get around as it costs nothing to upgrade your fighter in this case. I believe the only easy way out of FID should be that a fighter wins.

side note: I think a "punished" member should be immune to FID while punished as it stops a punishment from getting too out of hand. fighter losses would still count but the member would have a chance to fix his FID fighters once punishment is over. this is a seperate issue from my main point.

I agree with this. But I want to explain why we made it that way, though you probably already know and understand why.


First, it was something to do with capped fighters without having to mess with their core strategies.

Second, sometimes there is nowhere you want to add points. Like, if my wrestler is maxed in all his wrestling skills, i don't want to add points to his punches. That would hurt him more.

Third, the minus thing is also sort of supposed to draw attention to the fact that sometimes, removing points is more beneficial then adding them. Sometimes that is all that is needed - something to get a fighter fighting the way they should, focusing where they should. And since I keep preaching slow upgrading over a longer period of time, letting someone see how their fighter fights after some points have been removed was kinda the goal here as well.

None of this is a rebuke of what you said. I agree it feels like an easy way out, and looks that way on paper.


Clarification question - does "I believe the only easy way out of FID should be that a fighter wins." mean you think the only way off FiD should be a win, or that you think that should be the only way to get off FiD without spending points?

I think you should perhaps re-read what Ducks said there. lol I haven't borrowed any points, hasn't even crossed my mind to borrow any points. If you're referring to the private message that was sent to me by the Rocketmen, and if he was meaning a loan, I wouldn't have taken it anyways cuz I don't want to do anymore loan deals. Plus, as I said to him, and now due to both of our little temper tantrums, I don't have the personnel to facilitate such a deal, even if I did want to. So your point is moot nor even an issue or have anything to do with your silly little poll here either.

but that was a side note.... and the timing of my poll was because sandman was altering the wording of the FID rules so it was in response to that
