Personally, if Slice ACTUALLY Wins, I'd wanna see Evans vs. Slice before the title bout... Liddell Franklin Jones (Fuck, I hate him... lol) Fedor Goodridge Koch (Can't bet against my own) Henderson Guida Varner Bisping Koscheck Mein (Again, can't go against my own.) Lombard

i don't get it... why not just have Rashad vs Kimbo.... Rashad JUST fought. 3 times. He needs a break. Kimbo's been off for a long time. He needs a fight.

i don't get it... why not just have Rashad vs Kimbo.... Rashad JUST fought. 3 times. He needs a break. Kimbo's been off for a long time. He needs a fight. So?! It just takes a little longer to get a #1 contender... and another couple cards to get the title fight. But I'd rather see the right #1 contender face the champ that the actual #3 contender face the champ... Just me, but I'd rather wait.

Okay, you are missing the point here. Rashad is about 1.5 and Kimbo is about 1.5. Chuck is about #2. If Kimbo loses to Chuck, he drops to 3 (Chuck to 2, since he is not in title contention spot yet, having recently lost a title shot) , moving Rashad into 1. If Kimbo wins, he moves to 1, and Rashad moves to 2 (and Chuck to 3).
Further simplified, if Kimbo beats Chuck, he is the most deserving HW of a title shot. If he doesn't, then Rashad (having just beat 2 former champions) is most deserving of a title shot.
You can also look at it like "games back" in baseball. Being 1.5 games back. Someone elses win/loss affects your "games back". If it was as clean as a #1 contender fight, I would have made it one (as you see in the MW fight on this very card).
And in regards to sitting someone for half a season - yeah, not gonna do that. This isn't Carlos Condit here. Guys need to fight. I don't sit a guy for 10 ManMMA events just to get "the right" number 1 contender, when there are a number of guys completely and utterly qualified for a title shot.

If it's 1.5 to 1.5... Then this fight sholud be Rashad vs. Slice... not Lidell.

Well it's not. It's Slice vs. Liddell.
Two teams are 1.5 games back. One is scheduled to play. The other is not. A loss moves you back. A win moves you forward. You don't re-arrange the whole schedule just to get the two 1.5 games back teams to play. You keep shit going and the pieces fall where they may.
If Rashad fights this fight, there is about a 95% chance he gets hurt. BAD. Do you not see the injuries people get in Grand Prix? Lots of fights in a short period of time hurts fighters, as it would in real life. Since Rashad JUST fought 3 TOUGH fights about (real time equivalent) a month ago, he is in no way fully recovered and ready for a juggernaut like Slice. Slice is in peak form. If Rashad waits, he probably gets the next #1 contender fight in about 4 ManMMAs, when he is ready. If Kimbo loses, he gets a title fight in about 4 ManMMAs when he is ready.
To further simplify: YOU WILL NOT GET A FAIR FIGHT IF I PUT THEM AGAINST EACH OTHER RIGHT NOW
And we can probably say my 1.5 to 1.5 may not 100% accurate either, since if I needed a title fight for this card, it would be Kimbo over Rashad, since Rashad had a bad year before GP, and Kimbo did very well. Plus he has a better overall record.

Oh, I'm aware. When he started he was the second-lowest rated fighter, behind Houston Alexander (whom he beat in real life).
He just somehow put it together and got wins. Same with Alexander, actually. Ratings don't make a huge difference in this league.

I hope I don't get screwed in this Bones vs Cro Cop fight. If he had a bunch of points piled on to him we might be in trouble...
