This was a fast, brutal war.

One time, in Grade 1, a boy in our class named Bobby got smoked in the head with a baseball bat. He needed several stitches. The teacher made a point of telling us he did not cry when it happened. I found that strange. #TrueStories

Sure, but I'm sure there was not the same protocol, awareness, etc for any time a kid hit their head. I mean, my kid gets sent home now if she hits her head, cuz concussion protocol.
