According to my brief research, Edwards was trash talking Masvidal backstage - basically there are UFC fighters who think they are thugs, and then there are UFC fighters who actually are thugs lol Jorge is in the latter. So Edwards thought they'd have some weird confrontation backstage, maybe build some cash to a future fight, and instead Jorge unleashed on him.
