The Sandmen... he was 5-1 at Featherweight with four stoppages and one over Urijah Faber by TKO or KO.

It's certainly against the whole spirit of the new weightclasses, but since we lack LWs, I'll allow it.

Can you clarify that please? How is that against the spirit of the new weightclasses exactly? Sure. So ManMMA is about "the best fighters of all time in their prime". Tyson Griffin's prime is as a LW. He is known as a LW, etc. His Featherweight career was insignificant, and it was with an organization that is not "ManMMA-eligible". If you look Tyson up on something like Sherdog or Tapology, or MMAFighting, he is listed as a lightweight. Contrast that with someone like Mike Brown, and Brown is listed as a featherweight, he was a WEC featherweight champion, etc. I hope that clears things up for you.

Actually, now that I think about it, it would make everyone's life MUCH easier, (and these decisions less subjective) if we made weightclasses strictly what was listed on Sherdog, and kept people locked into those weightclasses. Then I would not have to make judgement calls, and people would not have to ever ask what weightclass someone could fight at. It would be clearly defined by a third party site.
Gonna give that some thought, because I'm kinda a fan of that idea to clean things up a lot around here.
