 Source: Jason MacDonald via PhoenixFC.comI've been hearing a lot of shit about the circumstances surrounding my fight with Royce Gracie for the SuperFight Title at ManMMA 481, and I'd like to set the record straight about that. 1) Royce is a great fighter; one of the best ever, and I have the utmost respect for him. Period. 2) That being said, and despite the fact that both Royce & I likely have some of the best, if not THE Best, cardio & stamina in ManMMA, I feel as though we both got screwed at ManMMA 481. Neither of us were made aware of these sudden rule changes to the Super Fight division until days just before the fight, and not given ample time to prepare for an endurance fight, as opposed to a regular fight. All because some fucking jack off, flash in the pan, GM, that didn't have any involvement in the fight, whatsoever anyways, had the bright idea to make the suggestion publicly to make the Super Fight division an endurance division. Which is all well and good, if it's something that's discussed and implemented well before a fight is set to take place; not days, or even hours, before a card is set to take place. The most disappointing part of all, at least for me, and my fight team, is that ManMMA didn't even follow their own protocol in implementing such rule changes. It was just simply suggested, and then implemented nearly immediately, without following their own guidelines of suggestions needing to be made near, or just after, the roster freeze during the season for it to be considered for the upcoming season. Just thrown out the window... Fuck the rules. It's fun to fuck with your fighters and your fight teams, bending and breaking the rules as you see fit, cuz you can, right? Well, as much as I'd love a REAL fight rematch with Royce right now, which will happen in time... That vwill have to wait. Cuz, in the spirit of 'Fuck the rules': I, Jason MacDonald, FORMALLY Challenge Anderson Silva ( The Sandmen) for ManMMA World Middleweight Championship. No joke. I don't give a shit who's supposedly "ahead" of me. Not that I expect ManMMA to have cahones to break the rules for anyone but themselves, but I'm sick and tired of playing second fiddle and having my opportunities stripped from me because of bullshit bureaucracy & pattycake politics, cuz "heaven forbid" Jason MacDonald becomes a ManMMA champion. You seem to be the only one pissed off about this MacDonald. If your so butt hurt by the results why not challenge me to a rematch? No need to go calling fights you can’t handle. As a true fighter in the sport of MMA, it’s part of our job to overcome obstacles put in front of us. One of those obstacles was the new SuperFight stipulation. There’s no excuses in this game. If you can’t handle it. Sit down and stay seated.
