I've never really felt particularly comfortable posting details on why sims have taken a while to come about without being asked. I feel when I write them, they just come across as excuses for not getting work done. But I have encountered several unforseen delays this week and felt I owed you guys short explanations and mostly just realistic predictions on when I can get sim shit back in order.
Few days ago, I went to sim and saw only 2 people had predicted, so I did site work instead.
Wednesday, I went to sim, and my browser fucked up, so I spent a few hours finding and installing a new browser (if anyone has elite browser suggestions that are not Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Opera, I am all ears - right now I am trying Vivaldi, so far, its fine.)
Thursday, my planned sim day, I was last-minute volun-told to help build a hay shelter at our "family farm*"
Friday, I had planned to sim no matter what Friday, but now our roof (which began leaking Monday-ish during those storms) is getting re-done, and there's a very high chance I will also be summoned to the farm to finish the hay shed. We're reasonably close.
Today (Thursday) I am done just from the day of work we did on the shed, and it was basically a half-day of about 5 hours. Something about the summer just fucks me up, so I feel like I have hardcore sunburn everywhere, but it wasn't that sunny, etc. Anyways, the point is I want to promise to sim Friday no matter what, but realistically, if I feel this shitty again, I'll be too drained to.
A Twitch stream I moderate is doing something on Saturday, so I think the most realistic prediction for the damned 503 sim will Sunday night, or Monday noonish.
*Long, irrelevant story - no one in our family owns a farm, but the farm my spouse & her mother store their horses at basically let them do whatever with the land - so my father-in-law has been working on a hay shelter, and therefore by extension, so have I...Even though no one in this scenario owns any of this stuff other than 2 horses.
