So this is a controversial one. Tibau did more damage overall than Aoki (and clearly so), but he did it all in one round. Aoki controlled the whole fight except for that one round. So when you look at "who won this fight as a whole", it's a TOUGH call. The guy who dominated and controlled a guy for 22 minutes, with takedowns, positioning and submission attempts? or the guy who did 3 minutes of striking damage?

So this is a controversial one. Tibau did more damage overall than Aoki (and clearly so), but he did it all in one round. Aoki controlled the whole fight except for that one round. So when you look at "who won this fight as a whole", it's a TOUGH call. The guy who dominated and controlled a guy for 22 minutes, with takedowns, positioning and submission attempts? or the guy who did 3 minutes of striking damage?
What do you guys think? Quantity of "winning" or quality of "winning"?
