No more decisions or draws in Manager's League. Or a slightly different point system so a draw is not worth the same points as a loss.

I don't run ML anymore, but I am just throwing these 2 cents in from my experience with the simulator.
1) It doesn't allow you to create an infinite round fight. You have to make it straight no time limits. This means there are no rounds.
2) With the no-damage fights we have, its very, very possible we could have a fight that never ends. If no one ever does anything and both guys get exhausted, the fight will just...never end. Ever.
I don't hate this idea in theory, but I think we have some limitations on what can be done when everyone sucks as bad as we do. At least with rounds, we have the chance to gain back a bit of stamina to try to finish he fight.
Would it be better for people if we went 10 rounds instead of 5? From what I saw of ML before, I don;t think it will make much of a difference. The stalemates show themselves pretty early on.

I don't think this suggestion is LEGIT Fair enough. I was really just mocking the previous 'legit suggestion' thread where it was proposed certain members suck less. Let's face it, that's never going to happen. 3 points per win, 2 points for a draw, or 1 point for a loss however is a possibility. My concern with it is that the disparity between the win and loss will cause further divisions of the good and the bad in the league and make fewer and fewer 'fair' fights possible. 2 points per win, 1.5 points for a draw, and 1 point for a loss is a possibility, but it might be messy with half points. If for example a person gets one draw in their entire career they will never get to use that .5 point and it will therefore be useless. Regarding decisions, I just think the computer does a crap job of it and that we could as a league agree to a (somewhat arbitrary) decider such as damage dealt, and award a win in both draw scenarios and decision scenarios based on that. I'm not saying this HAS to be done, but I do think it should be discussed.

I do think that at a certain point there should be a 2xp = 1 pts instead of the regualar 1xp = 1pt just to even out the people who get higher up so the people lower can try and catch up somewhat.

I donno guys. I understand wanting to catch up, but we all started evenly. Anyone could build a winner. And some didn't.
If we try to level things out just because some guys are losing more than winning, it kind of undermines the fact that they BUILT a good fighter.
Case in point - Thammer. He built his guy well enough that he fucked off for about 4 events without upgrading his guy, and was STILL beating guys who put 5-8 upgrade points into their fighter.
We discussed a point re-dispersement/respec option, but I still don't love that idea unless it actually costs a point to do.
I still think if you have less points, you have to look at how you can re-adjust the direction of your build to win fights. To me, it sounds a lot like someone saying "Okay Anderson Silva, you are too good, and I just can't be as good as you no matter how hard I tried. So you have to stop training and take a pay cut so we other fighters can afford good gyms like you, and spend time training like you can, and get as good as you."

Point is Sandmen... this is not real life ufc fighting... this is a game.. and if the game isn't balanced you need to adjust it. It's not whining or crying it's simply informing that it apperars to some that the game seems a bit unbalanced... maybe it was cause you've had more fights then anyone.. or maybe it's cause you've had exceptional luck where you've won alot and others have not been so lucky.. but if you were not in a top spot in the game or maybe you just started... and you saw that the top guy doesn't lose and you never win... how are you supposed to be able to catch up later on in the game.. 2 pts for you all the time and 1 pt to me all the time = unfair due to the fact i can't catch up. Now as i said i'm not complaining... i'm actually quite enjoying the game.. however i can see why others are complaining.. and all i'm saying is look at this situation unbiased and dfairly and you may even see the same thing.

No one is addressing these two KEY points though.
1) If your fighter is losing, build him differently. I keep telling PHX, I could turn his fighter around for him within 4 events. He keeps building his guy his way, and he just won a fight.
2) The big one. Byron didn't update his guy for almost 4 events. He was 4 points LOWER than guys who lost every fight. And he STILL won. Points help you develop HOW your guy will fight, but to a small extent they can help you big time, but they are by NO means the be-all, end-all.
I would agree this was a legit problem if we had people who were 0-9, or 9-0. But I'm pretty sure everyone has at least 2 wins and 2 losses (except the brand new guys).
But because I really don't care, let's say this is a problem. What do people propose we do? Ferocity already said the half-point system is messed up, and I agree. I talked to several members before about 3 points for a win, 2 for a loss, but the problem with this is that it reduces the number of fights our fighters will have in their careers by almost half. (once all our fighters are maxed, ML is basically dead, and we will need to restart or something).

I just beat Cor, so, yeah the theory that shitty guys can't win is now out the window.

That's not what my post was about. I don't want more points because I loose all the time. I totally accept my loserdom. I don't want DRAWS AND DECISIONS. I don't think a tie should be worth the same as a loss. Does anyone want to talk about that? if, no, please feel free to ignore and go on with the unrelated convo above.

I think that maybe 2 pts for each fighter in the case of a draw wouldn't be a bad idea. They don't seem to happen often and, in a draw, neither fighter loses the fight.
I like the 3pts for a Win, 2pts for a Draw and 1 point for a loss idea.

The difference is that your regular fighters you have like 10 to select from on who to upgrade and here you only have 1, so adding a third point will really only make the better guys THAT much better, and the weaker guys an additional 33% weaker EVERY fight, that's a terrible decision.
