Tyson went 4-2 this season. He lost a belt. When #1 contenders like Cro Cop (4-0) and Maynard (4-0), as well as champions like Cruz (5-1) don't make the cut, it's pretty easy to see why Griffin didn't.

I agree, although all of those fighters mentioned above, including Griffin, had really good seasons. All deserve mention, but not all the nod for Fighter of the Year. ....Stupid Alves had to edge out Cruz, dammit! lol
