Until we have to set a real roster limit to reduce oversized rosters (such as my own), I'm implementing a temporary roster limit of 20 fighters. This will be in effect until further notice (so basically until we are FORCED to implement a smaller one). This way one team doesn't hog every card all the time. 20 fighters on your team is insane. If you have a problem with this roster limit, see a doctor. Or bitch below. (Other new-ish announcement is here, in case it got buried with this post)

20 people is hardly a "roster limit" for most people. It's keeping the clowns who want to own every fighter ever in check.

This is obviously fair and I would have set it at 15, so anyone who thinks its too harsh should be glad I'm not running the place.

I agree with Ferocity, but I also recognize that some people are hoarders. Be thankful we are not cats.

I was bugging him cuz he makes/changes so many rules without warning. Fact is that I now have a bunch of fighters I like now and I still have some I'm willing to trade or sell; not all, but some. I just needed to build a stronger roster, and I've done that. Now I'm able to make some moves without hurting my team, it wasn't to hoard fighters.

I get the without warning concerns, except I really don't want to know what's going on in Sandman's head most of the time. It's also hard to determine how much warning is enough based on the severity of the problem. Should he let it go unchecked till next season? 2 cards from now? 5? I really do understand your concern, I just couldn't come up with a rule to give sandman about his making rules.

I really do understand your concern, I just couldn't come up with a rule to give sandman about his making rules. 90% of the time, none of us wanna know what's going on in Sandman's head... lol But we hear it anyways. I have learned these simple rules for Sandman making/changing rules without warning: Rule #1: Sandman has no rules about making/changing rule without warning. Rule #2: When in doubt, refer to rule #1. X-D Though in seriousness, the only real problem I face with this roster limit is in this coming draft, unless I can actually unload a fighter or 2 for their proper price so that I can add the 1-2 that I want that aren't in the league yet. Otherwise, this isn't much of an issue. I've just been having a hard time making deals for fighters cuz I'm finding that many teams are under valuing many my fighters, even when they have winning records. That's proved really daunting in allot of cases.

What is all this "without warning" bullshit, people? What do you think this thread is about? You were warned. Now, based on a new suggestion that almost everyone likes, 15 is LIKELY to be the new roster limit very soon. So prep for that. I'll have an announcement coming later today probably. These threads, and the discussion within them, are your damned warning that change is coming. I never do anything spur of the moment. It's all gradual, based on public feedback people.

That's because it was 20. It's like saying the NHL is bringing in a Salary cap of 3 Billion, or the MLB is bringing in a roster limit of 165 players. It's creating a huge outer boundary, while affecting no one, because some people have lots of points no self control and will dig themselves a BIG hole when they have to drop a bunch of fighters.
