Again, I don't know what to make of submission stats here. The end result shows what you see, but the play-by-play had it at "8/24 (33%)". Not sure. But I am sure that the submission chaining of Royce wore Ben down, and this was a good, interesting fight. Ben takedowns, Royce is happy on the ground, and it was a cool ground war.Both guys very even in damage output, and the submission is almost like a "flash sub", since Askren wasn't like...beaten down, or almost unconscious or anything. But its a sub, so its obviously not the same as a flash KO, esp with all the prior sub attempts ROyce had...but you get the idea, don't you? Anyways, I liked it.

Again, I don't know what to make of submission stats here. The end result shows what you see, but the play-by-play had it at "8/24 (33%)". Not sure. But I am sure that the submission chaining of Royce wore Ben down, and this was a good, interesting fight. Ben takedowns, Royce is happy on the ground, and it was a cool ground war.Both guys very even in damage output, and the submission is almost like a "flash sub", since Askren wasn't like...beaten down, or almost unconscious or anything. But its a sub, so its obviously not the same as a flash KO, esp with all the prior sub attempts ROyce had...but you get the idea, don't you? Anyways, I liked it.
Askren needs toughness. Gracie could use some stamina.
