inspired by phoenixfcs pole about him getting points for 75 posts while simming I think if he gets all those free points we should look at guys lie me. I been here for ever, I dedicated but I can't live here like some guys so I think it miht be fair if I get 1 point for 25 pots until maybe we hit 500 or 1000 posts or something like you big posters. rebel storm and underdogs got my back right boys? fair is fair.

or he could post more. I'm busy, I post. And when I don't, and I don't have any points, I don't whine about it. I know why, it's cause I didn't dedicate the time to posting. I worked instead. I watched Netflix instead. I read "go the fuck to sleep" so I wouldn't feel quite so insane the 15th time I told my kid to go to bed and to sleep. ect, ect.

It sucks you have dial-up, but it isn't fair to just randomly award people free points for not being on the site. Otherwise, I'd own yahoo.com

yahoo has our point system? Really though, here's my take: 1) We had a vote or discussion on this same issue like 3 or 4 seasons ago. I pitched a sliding scale, where every time you hit another point threshold it got harder and harder to earn points. The big wigs shot it down. 2) I still don't see a sliding scale as a problem. It's not like if Byron, or 3lite gets 1 point every 25 posts until they hit like 500 would ruin anything for the active members. It would just let them catch up some. 3) From a BOOKING/LEAGUE perspective, it's better to have a wider variety of GOOD fighters, than a bunch of crappy fighters/fights. We have A LOT of under-developed fighters here. To me, rejecting things like this kind of makes it feels like a group of millionaires telling some broke bastard they cannot earn minimum wage.

Ok, first of all... I don't get free points Byron; no one does. I've either earned, worked for, drafted, won, predicted and/or traded for every point that I've ever gotten; just like everyone else. The only times anyone's gotten free points are at X-mas and this past summer, but everyone got them. There's a reason why it's called "Posts for Points" dude. Now, it sux that you're not able to be on as much as most of us and I understand that dial up is pain in the ass, but the fact still remains that no one gets free points. I mean just in the last 2 days alone, RocketMan's racked up 5 points from posting plus 1 point for a belt rank promotion. I'm definitely active, but I've never posted at THAT rate. So I do take a bit of offense that I'm the one that gets singled out all the time for posting. Also, just for point of note, the poll for me staying at the 75 posts for the rest of this season while simming ML was a point of principle and disagreement between me and Sandman and not so much of me getting "free points", as you say. However, that being said, I think it's a perfectly reasonable request to make it 25 posts for a point for the teams that are under 500 posts right now. I can't speak for Sandman, but myself personally, I'd even be willing to go a step further and give you boys the retro points on that too. That'd be something that Sandman and I would have to discuss though, but I'd have no problem with it cuz he eluded to, "From a BOOKING/LEAGUE perspective, it's better to have a wider variety of GOOD fighters, than a bunch of crappy fighters/fights. We have A LOT of under-developed fighters here."

Those 4 plus Team 3lite would be affected moving forward, up to 500 posts. I am fine with this, though it seems others are pretty opposed to such parity ( xx - Team GAP, Ferocity, The Rocketmen - jerks) .

I'm not so sure if "parity" is so much the issue as the fact that no one else other than those 4 will/would benefit from doing this at this juncture. From that particular stand point, I can see that being an issue. I think we all want to see good fights.

Nah, it's obvviously a parity issue. Those 4 have the most underdeveloped teams, based on the talent they have. Even someone like 3lite now, with Cyborg and Jones has a far more developed team than those 4 do. (Perhaps with the exception of Spencer Fisher, who Storm HEAVILY upgraded - but even then, that is one guy. You look at the talents on those 4 teams, they should be doing better. It looks to me like its just the points that is slowing them down.

And 3lite's doing just fine regardless... he has Cyborg but both Jones & Melendez are now in line for title shots, so there's no parity issue with his team; it helped having Ram's fighters available there though.

You have the least talented team because you choose to. You have gathered Cruz and Brock, and they perform as they should (minus some consistency issues), but the rest, you choose to a) keep, and b) neglect (slightly) to build up Sarah. So thjough your team blows, it's of your choosing (as you could drop half your garbage any time for some high level free agents). It's like me and Kyra Gracie and Ben Askren. I choose to have that trash, despite there being many free agents with winning or even records on the free agent list.
I just feel the 4 teams mentioned are not making that choice. They are upgrading, but they do not have the output of the power-posters, like You, myself, and Rocketmen (and not GAP) etc, etc.
