faling off a hell of a cell cage or falling off the titantron or falling off a 20 foot ladder does hurt. Sorry i don't buy the wrestling is fake stuff.. yes it's predetermined results and pulled punches.. but the pain is very real.

falling off a ladder is stupid. Hurting yourself because you purposely fell off a ladder is even worse. Paying to see someone to this verges on pathetic. and I love some people who have loved and love wrestling. If you want to see idiots hurt themselves go to a bar.

I have NEVER watched an MMA fight where someone told the other guy "just lay on the ground for a minute while I fetch a ladder and a table" and then ran around the octogon looking for props, then taking his time to set up the props, then climbing said props, then jumping off the props and missing his opponent and then himself laying on the mat for the next five minutes while the guy that just moved incredibly quickly takes his slow ass time re-setting up the props.
I've never seen an MMA fighter push someone against the cage, then step back and slap his chest.
I have seen an MMA fighter kiss another MMA fighter, before promptly being knocked out before the fight even begins. I have seen an MMA fighter steal the microphone from the announcer to conduct a retarded interview with someone as the other fighter was "retiring" only to come back and fight, then cancel said fight, creating big drama. I have seen an MMA fighter trash talk other fighters calling them 200 pounds of crap and being awesome at it.
But I still have not seen an MMA fighter receive the Razor's edge. That is unacceptable.

im gonna have to youtube search the mma fighter kissing the other and then getting knocked out... that sounds hilirious..
I have several friends who are pro wrestlers..not wwe.. but one has wrestled as a jobber for wwe in the 80's.. and i say wrestling and mma are the same. because.. both deliver entertainment (whether its real or not entertainment is had)

well that is a similarity. I think the difference is in how it's produced. Entertainment is a by product of MMA, where as it is the sole and primary product of the WWE ect.

No I think the primary product of both is to entertain.. but..
1) wrestling does it in a fake soap opera type way where as mma does it in a knock somebody out for your amusement way. 2) Both want to make money. and they both know that you will pay to be amused. Both amuse.. But they each go about it in a different way.
BUT you are right.. the difference is in how it's produced.

Wrestling is a completely unique product. It is unlike anything else on Earth. Two skilled individuals go in front of a live audience, perform combative moves on each other, including feats of great athleticism, and work CO-OPERATIVELY to create the illusion of a combat, adversarial event. It's a team event, where the goal is not to make each other look bad, but to make your "opponent" look good. He does the same for you, and it's remarkable. There is nothing like it, and I think it is the most under-appreciated athletic art form of our time.

Problem with pro-wrestling now days is the product is crap. The Attitude era will never be matched and people are not buying into this new product. After the 2002 which was roughly when the attitude era ended. Things were alright till about 2006. Since then shit has hit the fan with WWE. I used to be a hardcore WWE fan , but as time went on and I started watching MMA ,I found it a lot more entertaining. MMA is a lot more popular now days because pro wrestling is deminishing. Tbh at the rate things are going pro wrestling will be as big as MMA was back in the 90's.

I agree with a lot of that. But the thing wrestling has going for it pretty much permanently that separates it from MMA is the special needs and elderly fan base. This sounds like a rude generalization, or a shot at the product, but it really isn't.
For special needs people, it provides a clear and simplified "Good vs. Bad" dynamic that is simple, and they can understand. They cheer when everyone cheers and know who they want to win and such. The storylines are always simple too, and don't require a lot of mental capacity to follow. That is also why people like my grandmother watch WWE. It's like a soap opera, but it's not complicated, and the crowd constantly reminds you who the good guy is, so you never get lost. These two demographics, though not primary ones, will always be wrestling-loyal. It might reduce them to near-90's MMA levels, like Knockouts said, but I think there is enough there that it will survive and continue to make money.
