Wow. This was a completely unique fight. I donno if we've seen anything like it before.
Taktarov is TOUGH as hell, and has good defence. Phil has elite takedowns, and good GnP. So Phil takes Taktarov down and beats on him for 3 and a half rounds. But Taktarov has elite defence, and this domination did minimal damage, and Oleg recovered between rounds. So, despite getting dominated through the whole fight, by the 4th, because Oleg has better toughness then Davis, he had more health and was in a better position in win, IN THEORY, if he got his offence going. He kind of never did, but what he did do was lock in a flash submission, and that did it. Kind of an out-of-no-where flash sub win, but I was impressed, based on the dominating that he received prior.

Wow. This was a completely unique fight. I donno if we've seen anything like it before.
Taktarov is TOUGH as hell, and has good defence. Phil has elite takedowns, and good GnP. So Phil takes Taktarov down and beats on him for 3 and a half rounds. But Taktarov has elite defence, and this domination did minimal damage, and Oleg recovered between rounds. So, despite getting dominated through the whole fight, by the 4th, because Oleg has better toughness then Davis, he had more health and was in a better position in win, IN THEORY, if he got his offence going. He kind of never did, but what he did do was lock in a flash submission, and that did it. Kind of an out-of-no-where flash sub win, but I was impressed, based on the dominating that he received prior.
