So I don’t think anyone was surprised by the result, but I am really surprised with the way Lauren was able to keep up with Kaufman. Sarah took her down with a takedown in the first, and THAT was stupid. Kaufman is weak on the ground compared to Murphy, and Lauren eventually reversed that and did heavy damage. Possibly even winning the first round. Possibly. Sarah generally tried to stay standing and when she did she won this fight. That simple, really. But damn, Murphy is revealing some massive wrestling holes in some of our elite female fighters. I am really surprised with her.

So I don’t think anyone was surprised by the result, but I am really surprised with the way Lauren was able to keep up with Kaufman. Sarah took her down with a takedown in the first, and THAT was stupid. Kaufman is weak on the ground compared to Murphy, and Lauren eventually reversed that and did heavy damage. Possibly even winning the first round. Possibly. Sarah generally tried to stay standing and when she did she won this fight. That simple, really. But damn, Murphy is revealing some massive wrestling holes in some of our elite female fighters. I am really surprised with her.
