They did good at first. Then they got Canada'ed. Then they just didn't give a fuck about the bronze. I don't think I would agree that counts as "did shit", but I think obvious errors were made in team selection. But we would be saying the same thing about Canada and fucking Kunitz if Canada lost. And I still think Kunitz was a stupid, stupid, stupid choice.

You can't have a team chalked full of superstars and just expect success; USA proved that, as did the post '94 Rangers teams. I know this is likely to not be a popular opinion, but in my mind, Crosby's terrible at the Olympics. He just can't score in that tournament, which is really what he's brought in to do, isn't it? I dunno if it's the big ice or what, but you don't hear anyone complaining that he was put on the roster or even made the captain, even though for 2 straight Olympics he's been barely average, at best.

I totally agree (except for the "Kunitz was fine" part), but after the 2010 goal, they had to include Crosby. I would have rather had Iginla there than Kunitz, who probably has just as much chemistry with Crosby as Kunitz does, and is a better player and person.

For Canada and America it's become Gold medal or Bust so I sill think USA played bad. Let's face it Russia and the other teams America played were not that good in this tournament.

I'm starting to think that Canada may have had the toughest division, but I'm happy Kessel had a good tournament until his entire team forgot how to score in the final two games.
