I suggest no more announcements... I'm still choking on some of your previous announcements and now your jamming more shit down my throat... please stop announcing stuff for awhile (at least till end of season)

Announcements are needed to let the league know what is happening. And since it has been brought to my attention that no matter how old something is, it's never too old to become an issue on the fly due to people not reading stuff, we'll continue to announce as many announcements as necessary.

You had 2 years. If it takes you 2 years to read a paragraph, I'm sorry man, I just can't help you. It's a message board.

This is a suggestion area.. all I was asking for was sometime to digest the announcements you've already made.. Honestly it's not too much to ask. I understand that announcements have to be made to let everyone know what is happening.. but you have to remember rome was not built in a day.

But, what would you propose as a solution to this issue of over-announcing? Should we not change any rules for a season? (I donno if that would work, because people are having problems with things) Is it the changing that's the problem, or is it posting in the announcement thread itself that is bothering you? I feel like this might be a no-win thing because if things are not announced clearly, people miss them and accusations are thrown around about people secretly changing rules or not letting people provide feedback.

So you are saying to ignore suggestions for change as well? I don't get it. I thought you and Phoenix said that made me an evil dictator. But now you are suggesting I stop allowing progress? Please explain further.

@ rocketmen- i don't know how you weren't talking about me when i was the one talking about digesting the announcements
@ Sandmen- What makes you an evil dictator is that you don't truly listen to suggestions.. you make rules that suit you. You are probably the best team in the league do you think.. a)That your just that damn good and everyone has a chance to be as good as you, or b)Do you think that other people have not been as good as you because we all suck at this game?
either way the guy running the site should not be as good as the players.
I digress, you wanted me to explain further... so.. allow people to think and talk about issues during the season and make changes in between seasons... unless there is an EMERGENCY type situation. when you make a change the league needs the chance to adapt to the new changes before you make more changes.. i understand listening to the people and making a change immediately(when warranted)... but if you do an immediate change then you need to give people time to grow acustomed to the change...same thing applioes for a huge game changing or altering change. For example: Lets say I am in charge of this site.. and i tel you i'm changing something then i make a nother change then maybe 2 more changes then another then another... all in the same week.. or I make 1 huge change.. then another huge change then another huge change in a matter of a few days.. your going to be asking me to do the same thing i'm asking you for.. A BREAK.
I'm not saying don't listen to the people of the site, I'm not saying don't make changes, I'm not saying ignore suggestions. Don't misunderstand me.. all I am saying is: Slow down the rate in which you are making changes. That is it.

xx - Team GAP, I fully understand what you are saying, but I don't understand why. The most-recent announcement (Mar. 3) was an immediate change that was exactly as you said - an emergency type situation. We all agree things are out of hand, and it's time to end it before this turns into ManNHL 1980. The one before that (Feb. 18) was also an emergency PLUS it had been discussed and time was given to discuss and acclimatize ourselves to the new change. And that change, of course, was to come into effect for the current season. If you lump the rule tweak in with these, I might agree, a lot has happened in a short time, but it is not the same. The changing of weight classes was always something that was a "ask Sandmen if we can do this now" type thing, as it required a change in the simulator itself. Changing the weight class of a fighter in the simulator is not a "click-click-done" process. I said it before, regardless of how much of a democracy one wishes to run, there are limits to what you are willing to do. And it became clear to me for the first time that I had limits on how often I was willing to make a weight class change, and felt the league should know about it before it became a broader issue. I offer these not as excuses but as reasons for why these 3 things have come about so rapidly. I do not feel the site needs time to process small things like, "If you are asked to stop something, stop", or "I am only willing to make this change __ times for you this season". Those are things that are just simply givens on other sites, and things like that are why I feel the democracy I have set forth here has failed. People expect me to go above and beyond, and most of the time I do not mind doing it. But when I am no longer willing to do it, the feces hits the fan, and I am tired of that. Hence the Mar. 3rd announcement.

Those are things that are just simply givens on other sites, and things like that are why I feel the democracy I have set forth here has failed. I am simply informing you of MY limits of what I am able to process. I do not know what others have for a limit and thus why I was asking you to slow down. Also from what you said "If you are asked to stop something, stop" This one in particular has not been a small issue as you claim since some people are simply unable or unwilling to stop. Asking people to stop forexample is not really a rule change. I am merely talking about changing the rules. think about hockey for a second. do they ever make rule changes in mid season? NO!! you can suggest or propose a rule change so that it may be talked about untill the end of the season... then it can be decided at that point and during the off season all changes can be made. To me this makes a lot more sense then what you are doing.
