This was an amazing display of 2 effective strategies facing off. Rousey completely destroyed Zoila for 3 rounds...then she had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING left, stamina-wise. Zoila had absolutely nothing left health-wise. But Zoila’s stamina bar was near-full. So for the next round, Zoila controlled the fight and got a bit of her bearings back. Then for the 5th round, Zoila completely dominated Ronda Rousey and came REALLY close to finishing her before the bell. By the end of the fight, Zoila had regained enough health that she finished the fight with more health than Rousey. That's how close it got. Hell, another round, and Zoila Gurgel would have beat Ronda Rousey. Absolutely amazing. I think this is my favourite accomplishment in my team’s history of ManMMA. Gurgel fought a complete “weather the storm stamina war” with a significantly better fighter and almost won it. Could not be happier with that and shit, if this was a title fight, she would have been Women’s Champion.

This was an amazing display of 2 effective strategies facing off. Rousey completely destroyed Zoila for 3 rounds...then she had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING left, stamina-wise. Zoila had absolutely nothing left health-wise. But Zoila’s stamina bar was near-full. So for the next round, Zoila controlled the fight and got a bit of her bearings back. Then for the 5th round, Zoila completely dominated Ronda Rousey and came REALLY close to finishing her before the bell. By the end of the fight, Zoila had regained enough health that she finished the fight with more health than Rousey. That's how close it got. Hell, another round, and Zoila Gurgel would have beat Ronda Rousey. Absolutely amazing. I think this is my favourite accomplishment in my team’s history of ManMMA. Gurgel fought a complete “weather the storm stamina war” with a significantly better fighter and almost won it. Could not be happier with that and shit, if this was a title fight, she would have been Women’s Champion.
