Carmouche has one good fight against a mid-tier fighter or Budd having one good fight and beat Cyborg that once, and that's what makes you believe the women's division is opening up? I personally don't think so. The moment it starts opening up is when we see more than just one or two fighters rising to the top and have a more solid rotation of champions as we've had in the other weight classes. That's when I'll concede that it's actually opening up. Right now it's better than it was, for sure, but open? No. Not yet. And this will happen when the teams with a lot of women start upgrading several women, rather than power-upgrading just one. If you're trying to refer to my tweaking of D'Alelio, since she's capped... don't bother. She should be better than she is, and everyone in the league knows this, including you. So don't even try to place this all on me. When I have points to upgrade my fighters, I'll upgrade fighters on the current card that I think need it most or that need the upgrade to put them over in a tournament. D'Alelio just happened to be the top of that list for the last 2-3 cards cuz of the tournament... and like you, I wanted to knock off Murphy... Sarah's my best shot at doing that right now, so of course I'm going to try and make her better.

I didn't feel like that comment was unidirectional at you, Kruze. I did the same with Coenen. Cannon did it with Rousey. Sandman did it with Carano, etc.

Sandman did it with Carano, etc. True, however... none of those other gals have received any upgrades recently, D'Alelio has. Sandman didn't power upgrade Carano, she was already good when she was built. lol So subsequent upgrades she received were just enhancement... which is fine, I like Carano too but his comment was a little backhanded IMO.

Nevermind, you're absolutely correct. Every comment on this site that is open ended is specifically aimed at you.

I get now that it was more so directed at Cannon cuz of his neglect of his entire roster beyond Rousey and now Holm... BUT, being that he quoted me when he made that statement, would that not also mean that the comment was directed me as well? Seems pretty logical to me.

If the top spot in the women's division is not opening up, the top 10 definitely is. We already saw Liz Carmouche (a perpetual low-tier fighter) take out Fujii (a perpetual top 10 fighter). People have slowly been working on their women, and now we can see the differences paying off. No. Not yet. true rousey beaten everyone except for cy-roid..

Yes she has, but that still doesn't constitute the women's division being open at all... that's was my point.

I guess it also depends on one's definition of wide open. Bulldozers proved you can take a woman from rookie to champion in a season with the right TLC. I kinda think that says something for hope open the division is. I don't see that happening at MW.

I kinda think that says something for hope open the division is. I don't see that happening at MW. I disagree... but that all depends on how many defenses Murphy she can pull off and who her opponents are. My experience with upgrades hasn't been that fruitful, even though I generally play to my fighters' supposed strengths. As I've said before, I'm still not sold that Murphy's an elite fighter in this league based on what we've seen, and I only need to point to Tyson Griffin again to accent that point. GAP did the same thing with him, and where is he now? I think Bulldozers & Murphy have gotten extremely lucky. Period. I mean, Budd beat Cyborg too... but do you really consider her an elite fighter in the league? By all accounts, no she's not. Is Murphy good? Yes, she's good... but elite? I don't think so. Not yet anyways. I've capped D'Alelio, is she an elite fighter in the league? Most would say no. So, I'm sorry you don't agree with me, but the women's division won't be open in my eyes until we see more than just 1 or 2 different champions than Cyborg, Carano & Kaufman. Could this be the beginning of that? I hope so, but I'm not holding my breathe seeing as how we've only seen Rousey do it once prior to Murphy popping in there, but she hasn't won it since. Just looking at the trends in the women's division, that's exactly what I see happening to Murphy... wins the title once then disappears. I hope I'm wrong and that we see more than just Murphy filter through, but I highly doubt it, unfortunately.
