Good fight, but this was disappointing, from a Sandmen perspective. Aoki waited for a good chance, got into a submission-chaining position and did HUGE damage with many, many submissions, nearing Benson to a finish...then the round ended and saved Benson's ass. 2 damned times. After each time, Benson started then the next round standing and in a greatly recovered state. He used that recovery to take over late in the fight. If this ended after 3 rounds, Aoki would have had the decision for sure. But Benson is legit for a reason, and too this one home with the finish. Good fight from both guys.

Good fight, but this was disappointing, from a Sandmen perspective. Aoki waited for a good chance, got into a submission-chaining position and did HUGE damage with many, many submissions, nearing Benson to a finish...then the round ended and saved Benson's ass. 2 damned times. After each time, Benson started then the next round standing and in a greatly recovered state. He used that recovery to take over late in the fight. If this ended after 3 rounds, Aoki would have had the decision for sure. But Benson is legit for a reason, and too this one home with the finish. Good fight from both guys.
