Just because somebody has been schooled longer than I have it doesn't mean that they are more educated. A 9 year old can be smarter than a 16 year depending on that 9 year old's brightness. |

Almost this whole site has been actively learning things (both independently and through systemic education) longer than you have been alive. (i.e. I have done 18 years of formal education, for which I have several certificates saying I have absorbed 85% or more of that information)

Crosby is 26 and Thornton is 36. Everybody knows that Crosby is better even though Thornton has been playing the game longer than Crosby has. The reason why Crosby is better is because he has skill and a strong understanding of the game. Just because a person is younger it doesn't mean they aren't smarter than a person older than them.

We do not know if Shakespeare was smarter than anyone, and there is even some doubt as to whether there even is a Shakespeare to begin with. Furthermore, almost all of Shakespeare's plays are direct rip-offs or re-tellings of either historical events or previously published works.
Outside of that, what do you think makes him smart? His ability to write creatively? His whimsical use of the English language? If that is what makes someone smarter than another in your book, you are easily impressed. The ability to write does not make one a genius.
You are also confusing this notion of age with intellect and knowledge. You can be a Mensa-certified genius at 11, but that does not mean you have more knowledge in a particular field or subject than even an average person. At this point, kid, you should stop kidding yourself and consider yourself average. Nothing you are saying or have said has indicated to me you are more or less gifted than a typical teenager of your socio-economic standing.
