It was an alright movie ... not fantastic though. Exactly what I was going to say. Nothing really special. As such, I was kinda disappointed, cause I expected special.

Or maybe I'm trying to open up another discussion by having you tell me what the movie is about.

Or maybe I'm trying to open up another discussion by having you tell me what the movie is about. We do not know if Shakespeare was smarter than anyone, and there is even some doubt as to whether there even is a Shakespeare to begin with. Furthermore, almost all of Shakespeare's plays are direct rip-offs or re-tellings of either historical events or previously published works. I still need to finish the movie Anonymous. Reading is fun.

I still think it's better to believe in "Shakespeare" as it allows people to strive to be creative and dramatic. They are very good stories regardless of who wrote them and I for one will believe that William shakespeare is a real person and that he wrote those stories. It's just better then the altrernative.

I agree. And the magic of Shakespeare is something far beyond plots, and something I didn't fully realize until taking a University Shakespeare coarse. The depth of his language, meanings, double entendres, and multiple meanings and layers is absolutely astounding.

I really enjoy Shakespeare and loved the version of Hamlet that came out around like 1999 as a movie, but I think that a lot of his stuff is rather difficult to understand and embrace in grade 7-9. It really wasn't until it was discussed in University that I understood the magnitude of not only his work but the influence of his work. So many amazing writers can be attributed to inspiration from him. And that is pretty god damn cool.

I hate having to read Shakespeare in school. They want us to know how to read and write but they teach us something that involves language that we don't even use anymore.

I'm pro-shakespeare, but anti-cursive writing.
