So I just found out today that one of my classmates has been diagnosed with leukaemia. My great aunt had the same thing 4 years ago and she sadly passed away. This time will be easier since I went through the whole precedure with this type of thing but its still hard to see happen to somebody especially a young person. I was in complete shock when my teacher told us the news today. The girl that was diagnosed is one of the nicest most kind type of person you could ever meet. It's really hard to see it happen.
Does anybody else know somebody with cancer or who had cancer? Please share.

It's unfortunately a big thing in my family. I know at least five people who had it, four of which passed, and one of which was a very difficult moment in my life. My aunt made a speech at my wedding and nearly broke my heart thanking me in front of all of our guests. Was an incredibly difficult thing to deal with, and I'll miss my uncle forever.

Same here with my aunt. The last time I saw her was at a Christmas party. It's a very hard thing to go through, not just for you but for everybody.

Maybe if our government wasn't do fucking greedy we could send the money that is supposed to go to taxes to cancer research.

I'm saying all of the tax money. Do you know how much quicker we would get to finding a cure?

... I just don't even know how to reply here now. I feel fucking stupid even sharing a modest amount of detail about myself forgetting who I was talking to.

Those are still tests though and the pill isn't a cure.

well if it cure rats im pretty sure it'll cure humans but it wont matter because if theres no money to be made from pharma comps than it'll never happen, so think of cancer and aids and ebola etc as a way of population control..

Ebola can be controlled since it is transferred through bodily liquids. Cancer attacks random individuals.

Ebola can be controlled since it is transferred through bodily liquids. Cancer attacks random individuals. yet ebola been going on and killing people for like what 40 years now and there's no cure yet? but nobody cared back then as there was less travelling to the areas infected with ebola.
