Sooooo, here's the thing.

Side 1:
- He was waving a gun around at one point
- The guy did not have the orange plastic "it's a toy" indicator
- the gun was "reached for" when he was told to raise his hands
- He was 12, not 7 - by 12 you should probably know you cannot wave de-safetied guys around in public

Side 2:
- He was not pointing it AT anyone
- The police were told beforehand the gun may be fake.

cops also could have shot the kid in the leg or somewhere non-vital

if your 12 you should know better if your a cop you should not be shooting unless your life or someone elses is in direct absolute danger and it dont sound like it was here so its a bad call by both. you jump off a cliff when a sign says its 40 stories high you cant be upset that it was actually 50 and you die.
