we don't get to buy the rights to people BEFORE they get a fight. also I didn't realize that CM punk is doing MMA.. last I heard he was working as a writer for Marvel comics.

Brand new fighters also have to be brought in at the draft, not mid-season. And so on.
If we want to discuss "/drafting buying the rights to a guy until they have their first pro fight" we can do that in the suggestion box. It makes no sense to me, but with announced signings like CM Punk, probably a discussion worth having...perhaps...?

k, that's a different suggestion than what I was talking about above though. Right now, I don't THINK I would be opposed to that but it's still a separate issue from being able to acquire someone who WILL fight a pro fight, but has not yet fought. I think there are a lot of parts to that discussion, so the "take new fighters mid-season" could probably be polled, whereas I think "buy someone before they have a pro fight" should be discussed. Don't think I'm a fan of it, though, especially in the case of CM Punk, where we have absolutely no idea what his strengths and weaknesses are.

I predict lose. But at least he will make a fortune and hopefully draw in new MMA fans. I think that is most of what they are banking on with him. Like, Brock drew in SO MANY fans just on his own. Hell, most of the reason I watch today is because I was curious about Brock and watched his fights. It had been years since I watched MMA before that. But after seeing Brock and the whole breed of stars they had, I got addicted all over again
