Curious. What would you rather see in tournaments. 1) Guys who won their last fight or two that have poor records, or 2) Ranked, better fighters that are on losing streaks For an upcoming LW tournament, it could either consist of these guys: Kenny Florian (7-11) - 2 fight win streak Frankie Edgar (26-28) - 1 fight win streak Edson Barboza (5-6) - 1 fight win streak Roger Huerta (21-17) - 1 fight win streak all would probably get shredded by the champ (unless upgraded, which is possible and encouraged) or, something like this: Jose Aldo (38-28) - lost last fight Spencer Fisher (34-9) - lost last fight Dominick Cruz (43-24) - lost last 3 fights Melvin Guillard (42-26) - lost last fight (where the winner could conceivably win the belt from the champion.) What would you rather see?

I like competitive tournament fights and a competitive title fight, so I'm partial to option 2.

umm i don know if i care i see value in both ways 1 encorages upgrading of new people maybe but 2 might keep the same loop of guys in title fights all the time gets boring.

i think there's enough tournament breakdowns per season now that we could probably do both (though at appropriate intervals as determined by Sandman)

i think there's enough tournament breakdowns per season now that we could probably do both (though at appropriate intervals as determined by Sandman) There probably will be occasions where I have little choice but to do one or the other, yes. RIght now, I mostly mean if given the choice between the two, what would you prefer, if you care. For example, right now I am making this decision. The batch of guys that will be in the tournament will go into a tournament, and the guys who do not will be given different fights before the next tournament type thing.

Literally does not bother me either way. Probably not helpful, but I'm pretty much just in the boat of "I like fights so any fight is cool by me"

It's helpful. It's feedback and that is what I am looking for.

i like option 1 since the fighters are winning. if you are winning you deserve more opportunities.
