Go re-read my comments. If I am doing any delfecting it's deflecting YOU back on topic. Like right now. You are trying to talk about me and my deflecting, I am reminding you I don't give a fuck what you think I am doing, and to talk about the suggestion IN THAT THREAD.
This one - dead. It's stupid, it creates more work, and not a single person has had a single valid reason why it would improve the league or solve some sort of problem. We can probably even close this thread, since it's burying the suggestion that more people care about. Even though no one agrees on what's to be done. (Which further strengthens my belief that there is no issue to solve to begin with, since no one can clearly point to an issue they are solving or THAT they are solving it with their suggestions.

What does that have to do with your original suggestion here?
The answer is as follows:
1) Because you neglected them in the first place. That is why they are on FiD. If you wanted them on your team, you should not have ignored them long enough to get them booted. By the time someone is cut, they have had over a season to have something done with them.
2) If have 2 points to buy a fighter back, you should have spent them upgrading the fighter in danger to begin with.
3) If you are neglecting your fighter, or if you cannot handle them, someone else gets a turn at them. Thus, you have to wait a full season.
4) Phoenix has no interest in your shitty FiD fighters, and if he does, and he does claim them, he will obviously do more for them than you did, and they will no longer be neglected. OR, if the fighter is somehow unfixable, you can get them back after a season if he can't keep them from being canned via FiD either.
So hopefully that puts that little addendum to rest. Now stop trying to circumvent the God damned FiD system. The whole reason it is here is because of your shadiness. Stop being shady! It's that simple.

I think fid protection is dumb... Simply because everyone should be working on your team so your fighters don't suck enough to get on fid and certainly not enough to get removed from your team. i agree if i can do it anyone can lmao!!! |

You want an easy path to max out your fighters while keeping your neglected fighters safe in the mean time. Well, in the meantime, I have to book those worthless, neglected fighters you don't give a shit about, and it's a waste of everyone's time. If you don't want to work on other fighters, release them an just keep who you want to work on.

If the ranking system proves to be a failure after a season or two, we'll re-evaluate it or can it then. That's the beauty of it - it can be taken out incredibly easily without disrupting a single thing. Time will tell how it pans out in practice, but I'm optimistic about it.
