bottom line is ..... WWE is and probably will always be bigger than MMA. They aren't really that comparable though. They work best together, not versus. They have different business models too (I like the WWEs better, but UFC is making a shit load more money right now off their bullshit). It also depends on your definition of bigger I guess to, since MMA is only about 25 years old, whereas WWE and wrestling have been around for generations. MMA is probably the fastest growing sport in the world, and is still growing (I mean, shit, it's still illegal in New York ffs). I hope both survive another 25+ years and prosper. ' iewwe is failing and the fans dont get what they want they cry now adays and cancel thier subscriptions to the dwwe network so wwe is like a joke now a days

' iewwe is failing and the fans dont get what they want they cry now adays and cancel thier subscriptions to the dwwe network so wwe is like a joke now a days Major problem with this thought. WWE isn't really falling that much, it's just that the content is really predictable at this point. Once guys like Big Show, Kane, Taker, etc. aren't wrestling any longer, you have to look at the talent pool in your developmental system. Boy, do they ever have a great developmental roster right now. Once they are ready for the big stage, you're gonna see a rise in fans again. Right now, the Federation is signing independent talent - top independent talent - from their competitions (especially the top talent from Ring of Honor), and in NXT, people want to be there, people love the storylines, people love the fresh and new faces. I'll list a few names at heart that are bound to be on the main roster soon. Sami Zayn - Once he takes care of his mic work, he's ready. Great match after great match at NXT's bigger events, and has become the face of NXT. Kevin Owens - Didn't take long for him to make a name. I mean, with him being so agile for a big guy, Vince will love him. He's got the most promise in Vince's system. Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady - Take that, BroMans. These guys are actually really funny, and are extremely charismatic on the mic. Enzo's a little chatterbox that could become a manager if he really wanted to. Cassidy actually has developed well in the ring (when Enzo was injured and they wanted to showcase Colin during the time). Next top tag team to call-up, that's for sure. I could really go on and on about how this isn't a decline (because the decline happened back in 2011), but please. Do indulge me by retorting this statement here.

Sure, people hated that Roman won the Rumble. It's because they don't see him as a credible contender to Brock's title, and he's not really that good overall. He's an okay guy that people happened to like a lot in The Shield, but kinda hasn't found his calling in the singles push so far (I mean, come on. Sufferin' succotash? Really?). But, here's the thing. Lance Storm made a great point about the situation at Rumble '15. The whole "Cancel WWE Network" thing was because Bryan didn't win the Rumble, and all the hardcore fans were like "You're pushing Roman down our throats!". But, hasn't Roman been pushed down your throat already when he was with The Shield? (See Survivor Series '13). However, subscriptions went right back up (They're at 1.3 million subscriptions now) when Mania came around. Therefore, the whole 'cancelling subscriptions' thing, is moot now. Doesn't matter. 2. The Fastlane match wasn't a tease that Bryan would make it to the Main Event - he would be less of a credible challenger to Brock than Roman - but it was more of a 'let's see if Bryan can make Roman look good here, and then we can address the situation after we see the reaction of Roman winning the match', and that's what happened. The fans booed Roman when he won, they re-signed Brock, then did the whole cash-in. 3. How, in all hell, is Sting losing a bad move for the talent they have. He's 56, he's only gonna be here for 'Mania seasons and probably retire after 'Mania 32, and he brought up buys and subscriptions with his mere presence at the card. If you want to talk about 'all the talent' they have, then why didn't you say 'Why is Sting even here' or 'Why didn't Sing face Bray Wyatt'? He's filling in a spot that someone else could be wrestling in. Hell, he's probably a determent to all the talent on the roster. But, who could fill in for that HHH matchup? Cena's busy feuding with Rusev, Bryan has been demoted, Ziggler's been demoted, Ambrose would be a dumb decision (considering he was the first to feud with Rollins and the Authority). I mean, he probably shouldn't even have been there, but he's got a vibe to him that makes people want to watch him. He's the last star of WCW, he's the guy who didn't go straight to the Federation after WCW fizzled out. 4. Come the fuck on. They don't have enough names to support another brand split. I mean, they didn't have enough support to do the separate brands when they had the whole "Bragging Rights" PPV, and that had a more known-name roster set than we do right now. This would cause an awful mid-card for both rosters that nobody would care about, bringing back the World Heavyweight Title (for the brand split, which they don't need. They only need one major champion), essentially suck NXT dry to fill in the needed spots, especially for the air time they have right now (5 hours combined with Raw and Smackdown), and it would make NXT a nothing show, which they don't want. It's just too much work right now. They have a weak mid-card right now, an especially weak tag team division, and an even weaker Divas division (which, at this point, nobody has cared about since 2007). It's an absolute awful idea right now. Again, a lot of problems with it right now, but the WWE isn't fading, it's not losing fans, it's not losing momentum. Once they get out of this spell, which is about a few years from now, they'll be back to the company everyone loves. It might have to take a death of a McMahon in order for things to turn around.

I'd like to see a return of the hardcore, and even the cruiserweight/light heavyweight division aswell. The problem I see with that, atleast with regards to the hardcore division, is that there aren't too many "hardcore" type guys left anymore and it's become more of a novelty again. Ambrose would be one of the few in that category, and despite not liking him too much myself, I do like what they've done with him more in terms of his character development compared to Rollins & Reigns.
Though, if they did bring back the hardcore division, he'd be there for sure, but I think he'd still have a ways to go to claim "the man" status with such great hardcore legends like Mick Foley, Tommy Dreamer, Sandman, Terry Funk, Raven, Bob Holly, JBL, RVD, etc. paving the way. Could he achieve that status? Absolutely... but he's still got some dues to pay in the hardcore arena yet, and also while I hae seen quite a few good matches out of Ambrose, for me, I haven't seen anything that's made me go "wow", "holy shit" or "OMG" out of him yet... could very well be coming though... he's no stooge.

I'd like to see a return of the hardcore, and even the cruiserweight/light heavyweight division aswell. They should totes put a focus on this. I don't watch enough to be an authority or anything, but when I did, WCW had amazing light guys that put on great matches, and I always hated that WWF didn't. If the roster is not as deep as it once was, and if there is a lot of upcoming talent, let talent start to stand out by their in-ring capabilities in these could-be-amazing matches.

Problem with most the developmental guys that wwe has right now is most of them are between 28 to 33 years (Sami is in his early 30's) of age and that's pretty bad considering the window for them to shine will be small once they are in the WWE.
Randy Orton , Cena , Lesnar and punk were all in their early 20's to mid 20's when they the "big" league from OVW. These are the type of guys WWE needs to find and bring in to NXT.

I cannot say I would be surprised to find out HHH was holding the entire roster back until his kids were of age to perform... That's probably why they are only interested in old fucks. Guys to coast the roster for another 10 years so there's nothing but McMahon-Helmsley children all over the WWE.

Randy Orton , Cena , Lesnar and punk were all in their early 20's to mid 20's when they the "big" league from OVW. These are the type of guys WWE needs to find and bring in to NXT. 1. By the time guys like Orton, Cena and Lesnar were in OVW getting developed, they had a very short timeframe compared to the developmental roster today. Remember, they arrived at OVW around 2000, and that was during the Monday Night Wars (even if it was a landslide at that point, there was still the fear of top guys going to WCW because of the money), so they needed to come out onto the main roster when they saw them as 'ready enough' There's a big difference to 2000 when you're talking about 2015. First off, the Federation isn't gonna tolerate calling up 'good enough' talent. The guy needs to be 'really good' now, and with no immediate competition, they can risk extra years of time to find those 'really good' talents. 2. 'The window for them to shine will be small'. Okay, say that to Ric Flair, say that to Triple H. Say that to guys who have wrestled for over 20 years. I mean, you can't be saying that at 30 years old that they have a small window. Wrestlers are capable of wrestling until they're 50. I mean, look at Sting. He just fought a big name match at the biggest event of the year at 56 years of age. He looked incredible, and people were wanting him to come back for more matches. It's fine if they call up the guy and he's 30. He is still very capable of being a mainstay for the company. 3. Developing talent is much different today than it was in the past. Look, when stars were being developed back from 1998-2002, the time to develop was very short. If they saw you as good enough, they put you on the main roster, where you would either strive or falter. I mean, Orton and Cena almost got fired for not having the 'it' factor, until Orton was recruited into Evolution by HHH and when Cena finally showed some character rapping about Stephanie in an episode of Smackdown. In today's developmental, they will wait for you until you have everything perfected. They will wait until you make a so-so match look great. The beast that is the main roster is a much different story today than it was 15 years ago. You can't be comparing developmentals of the past when during those times you didn't have much time before you were called up and ultimately fired within the year (Look at Mark Jindrak, Sean O'Haire, Chris Nowinski, Maven for god sakes).

It's sad that wrestlers die at such a young age though, so by the time they are deemed ready, they have a life expectancy of like ten to fifteen years, which is sad.
