Short story version: Workers vote to form a union, so the owner of the store closes the whole store, and says it's for "religious reasons", citing ""We are required by scripture to 'live peaceably with all men,' and not to use force to gain what we want or for what is required to succeed."

Because, you know, laying off 25 workers is living peaceably with all men, that's for sure.

So they are saying if there is a union there they can't live peacefully so they are declaringwar on the union.... But instead closing down to avoid the war.. Yeah, but apparently peace is laying everyone off like coward bastards rather than working with them PEACEFULLY to have fair working conditions. Sounds like this was one of those places that really did need a union.
