Delay

So there's going to be a delay in anything sim-related for a little bit. My simming computer decided it won't turn on anymore, so I'm working on getting that figured on out, but I'll probably have to order a power supply. No idea how long that shit will take, but stick around and we'll get things running again soon.

This will have no long-term impact on the site, like we're not fucked or anything - I back up our simulator every so often, and if I have lost everything from the sim computer it will just take me a few days to get a new machine up and running with the program.

Im seeing what i actually have because i would love to do a card (or many cards) during this down time, but i don't think i have decent back ups of those specific files. We'll see.

Hoping to have computer Thursday, but probably be closer to Friday or Monday depending on what work needs done or if it's salvagable. If not, the delay will be longer as I figure out what comes next - if I'm able to recruit help, I will be able to move ManMMA over to my back-up computer, but again, that would require more time. We'll see wqhat happens Thursday.

Thank you guys for your patience. We'll hit the ground running once this is resolved. I'm going through major sim withdrawal here. I think this has been our longest period of time without a sim or card posted. Killing me

Update

Computer is toast. Motherboard and power supply cooked. 50% chance hard drive can be salvaged. Worst time for this too, as I'm about as broke as I;ve ever been - c'est la vie.

If ManMMA data is salvageable from the hard drive, then I'm hoping to have things back in full swing over the weekend. If it's not, We'll probably need some helpful volunteers and even then we might be looking at Tuesday or Wednesday by the time I get everything restored onto a new machine and in working order.

If my hard drive is unsalvagable, that would be the main thing - an updating of the Master Roster document starting at ManMMA 270. This would be going through the fight history and updating wins, losses, win streaks, last event fought, and bonuses from 270 up to 288.

I'm cool and I think everyone else is fine with waiting it out if it's something you feel you want to continue moving forward on. Regardless, it's been a blast to this point, but if it does move onward with an attempt at recovering as much as possible and rebuilding to current-time, the last fucking thing I want to hear when the first sim comes is accusations that in this time you've taken an opportunity to inaccurately rebuild fighters during the process and thus cost them fighters on purpose.

lol. Well I can put those inevitable accusations to rest right now - the program itself is completely backed up and is the only thing that I can say for certainty fully intact from this debacle. (I back up the program and email it to myself every so often). So ManMMA's performance continuity will be unaffected, no fighters have been edited or created or modified during this period, and once my next computer is set up to sim everything will be copied over from the simulator exactly as we left off before.

Yay for backing up the complicated stuff but lacking the foresight to back-up the fucking event banners, site banners, custom sigs, Master Roster, and mid-season bonus point formula documents
