I don't think this is better... It doesn't even the field out the way flucuating ppp did. Active players still make waaaaay more points then not as active players.

Ya except people like Byron who earned just about as many points as me got 3 points while I got 1. That brings my total to 11 points and his to 8 which isnt fair considering "I'm more active" while you and Kruze have almost 50 points and barely any difference is made by the bonus points. Like those point totals aren't even relatively close. I would rather the old format cause at least those point totals were sort of fair in relatively to PPP.

New topic - I am seriously considering abolishing all bonus points of any kind for people who complain in any form about any kind of bonus point(s). This set up works this way. YOU GET POINTS FOR POSTING. PERIOD. That is what we have, and what the site was built on. Every concession, lower PPP, and bonus point I have given out has been to HELP you. For free. Free help. It is not required of me, nor of you, nor for the site to operate. This is like people complaining because someone who worked more hours then them at work earned more money. Even though you got a bigger Christmas bonus. This is fucking absurd. Bonus points, altered PPP, point hand-outs, etc. are GIFTS. Keep complaining and they will be gone. Lord Byron's Conquistadors, The West Coast Knockouts, xx - Camp Cannon, The Rocketmen, and The Mighty Ducks - It sounds ridiculous I have to even say this, but thank you for being respectful by appreciating your bonus points. All others complaining in some form here...accept the points and thank me (or just shut up), or forfeit them. You are acting like children who are bitching because Santa only got them the $400 bike instead of the $500 one. Gettin' kinda sick of that shit, to be honest. |

Seriously Justin I never argue anymore so when I do it's because I seriously think there is a real issue. I had 10 points before my bonus while Byron had 5. He got a plus 3 while I got a plus 1 bringing my total to 11 and his to 8 which since I'm "more active" isn't fair considering that Byron and I are practically getting the same amount of points even though I had 125 more posts. Meanwhile the difference between Kruze and I or you and I is barely changed. I gain 1 point while you guys gained nothing. The difference between us is still like 30+ points. This solution was supposed to help lower posters get a decent point amount but honestly everything has shifted into your favour and I call bullshit. I don't want my single point cause it doesn't help me at all. When I was active I got a higher PPP and lost points. Now that I'm less active I'm still losing points. I'm calling bullshit. I'm done with this "I'm trying to help you case while all you had to do beforehand was drop GAP and I to 15 PPP to even out the playing field. Instead you highered everybody at 15 PPP to 25 and lowered everybody that was above 25 PPP to 25 PPP besides yourself. This has literally only helped you and Kruze gain more points while the rest of us are left to scramble for the crumbs on the floor.

Quickly xx - Former Bulldozers - you kept talking about how this new system helped Kruze and I - nothing changed for us. We just don't get any bonus points. This system only changed for the lower-posting teams, and if you do the math, you are probably still getting more points this way then if you were just going by points and were sitting at 15 PPP - you certainly would if we were going by last season. That is why this was introduced. Most people got more points this way, and since this system is based on how many points are earled by the leaghue TOTAL, you guys get to piggyback off of Kruze's and my activity. We EARNED more points legitly, so you guys get more FREE bonus points. It's mathematically calculated, and it doesn't lie or skew things. ------------------------------------------------------------ xx - Team GAP and xx - Former Bulldozers - I'll address you both here. Please clarify what the problem is SPECIFICALLY. I'm just guessing here, but until you clarify otherwise, these are the problems I am thinking you guys are seeing: 1) You did not get enough bonus points. The points I give to people for free, to help the league be MORE fair. Not dead even, since that would be unfair to people who are active (pretty much a verbatim quote from telephone conversations with xx - Team GAP). Solution: Post more. Can't? Pitch a brand new solution. I am all ears. But make it one that does not involve me evaluating PPP every off-season. It's too time-consuming and since neither of you have sat down with the math, you also have no idea how hard it gets. We saw what happens when PPP is too low in Bulldozers first season (he's the only one I have talked to who didn't think that was a problem - Kruze and GAP included). Meaning I have to guess how active people will be each season. I am no longer willing to do that. It's unfair, and leads to bickering. 2) People like Kruze and Sandmen post too muchSolution: Post...more...? Can't? Pitch a brand new solution. I'm fine with upping my PPP if we up Kruze's PPP as well, but odds are you will have a war with Kruze if you are trying to up his PPP. Like point 1 above, I am all ears to new suggestions. MORAL - I am sick and tired of doing everything I can think of (literally) to keep everyone happy on this site to be shit on regardless of what I do. I change PPP, Kruze is up my ass (as is anyone who gets too many points at 15 and has to go up to 25). I make everything fair and give the entire league bonus points (based on how much the league as a whole posts) and guys are pissed off because they didn't get enough free points. Again, FREE POINTS. My problem remains this: You guys are both invisible, and "cannot be active"...but now, today, you have made more posts fighting your FREE points then you have in about the past 2 weeks. You can be active, you just choose not to. Guys like Kruze choose to BE active, and his points reflect that. Summary: Come up with a suggestion that works FOR EVERYONE and solve it. I've been trying to hand-hold you guys with free points and imbalanced PPP for too many seasons. Now you have to do your own work and come up with a solution on your own. I'm completely out of ideas, and frankly still see nothing wrong with this one. You post more, you get more points. You are unable to be active, you get more bonus points. Clean, simple, fair.Reminder: Please don't argue this post. It's pointless. Come up with a new solution. I don't have an answer for your problem. I have tried, and got shit on for doing so, for 3 real life years. So far, from where I am sitting, this system is the most fair. Don't like it, that's fine, but YOU have to solve it by introducing something better. I'm willing to work with you guys here, but you are just standing there telling me to fix your problems when you have the power to fix them yourselves. |
