We're going to go forward with the new point system for a while. Probably the remainder of the season, unless a major, unforeseen problem comes up. To recap, this is what will be happening: - We will no longer be using posts to earn points. - Points will be paid on a weekly basis. - Each team will get 3 points every Monday. - Teams can still earn points through title wins, rank levels, doing jobs for ManMMA, drafts, getting new members, winning GPs, etc. - Any owed points from the old system (as of this post, as confirmed by the screenshot below) will be dispersed via the old system, but no new points can be earned now. This avoids people post-whoring like mad-men between now and Monday. - Over time, additional bonus points for high-posters may be introduced. We'll use the rest of this season as a trial to see how this goes, and what might need fine-tuned moving forward. |

I had 14,954 posts yesterday, and was at 14,950 earlier in the day before you'd even moved that thread. I should get 1 more point on the old system. Why is it that you have to make things more difficult for me all the time? So I was opposed to this being instituted immediately and I had a valid reason for it. I'm sorry you didn't like that, but that's not need for petty crap dude.

Not when he's blatantly done it to get back at me for opposing this being put into place until the end of the season Ferocity. I understand being frustrated that I like this idea but wanted to wait til the end of the season cuz that's what we've always done with new ideas, but what was the need to scale back my posts to one post below the point I'd already earned? That was no mistake; that was calculated on his part to "rub it in my face", cuz he was putting it in anyways. Why does he feel the need cause more problems on this than there need to be? |

maybe, just maybe, the point (if actually earned) should be sacrificed because you spent your time complaining about it being introduced too early, and thus trying to enforce that those who dont get many points be faced with continuing to not get any points for another 8 cards, while you earned points by posting constantly about pushing it to the end of the season. Perhaps? Just the fact that you "knew" how many posts you actually had suggests you were only posting specifically to get said point.

It's no secret I keep track of my post totals, mostly for situations like this when he takes away posts for no reason other than to be a dick. I wasn't complaining. I like this idea, but all I did was point out the fact that he forces other people, like myself, to wait until the end of the season for things like this to take effect, then just pushes other things through when it suits him. Just because I have a differing opinion than him doesn't mean I should get some sort of reverse special treatment or penalty when all he was doing was trying to muzzle me from expressing that opinion. I also posted on other threads to earn that point, it wasn't focused on the original thread or the one he moved. If you look, there were only two other subsequent posts in that one he moved after the one he started it with, until this morning. I wasn't sitting there post whoring on either one of those threads. |

you don't need to re-write your complaint over and over again. when you write it in a thread, the entire site can read it. thread-posts are not like conversations. you don't post one in reply to me and then in reply to sandman... it's like a small room and everyone's got a bull-horn.
